Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!
If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.
I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If you’re interested, here’s a LINK.
Today’s card is the TWO OF PENTACLES.
The keywords associated with this card are: Multiple priorities, time management, prioritization, and adaptability.
It reminds me of the movie, “Groundhog Day,” where the man lives the same day over and over. Due to the shelter-in-place and drastic change of our daily existence, it feels that way to a degree. Like we are caught in a never-ending loop, just as the one on the card.
When the Two of Pentacles appears in a Tarot reading, it’s safe to say you are juggling your priorities, roles and responsibilities. For example, you may be a working parent, a general manager of a business, an administrative assistant in a busy office, or someone who works multiple jobs. This card notes you are doing an excellent job of balancing these different priorities, and you can take on whatever life throws at you; but this Two reminds you that the line between coping with these demands and losing control is thin. You need to manage your time, energy and resources carefully so you do not lose your balance.
The Two of Pentacles invites you to manage your time and your priorities carefully. Your workload is high right now, and to get everything done, you need to stay focused and productive. You may benefit from a ‘to do’ list, better calendar management and a stricter schedule. Basic time management is crucial to your ability to juggle these various priorities and keep your head above water. This card also reminds you to be careful that you do not miss important deadlines, meetings and other obligations.
This card calls your awareness to the concept of balance and those parts of your life where you have it (and those where you don’t). While you can strive for equilibrium, nothing ever stays in perfect harmony. For example, stabilizing your work and family commitments sounds fantastic, but in reality, your family might be more high-priority one week, and work the next. So, when the Two of Pentacles appears in a Tarot reading, see it as a reminder to be patient, flexible and adaptable as you try to juggle your responsibilities with your family, friends, work, finances, health and new challenges. Be ready to swap around activities or accommodate last-minute requests. And know that if you are succeeding in one area of your life, it’s likely you’re struggling in another – that’s just a part of the balancing act!
With so many people working from home and trying to manage separating work life from home life, this card is very appropriate. I like that the emphasis is on priorities, but also a reminder that those can change from day to day or week to week. It is up to each of us to try and maintain a balance during the COVID-19 crisis. What are your thoughts about this card and your daily life right now? Does it fit?
Thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!
As always, I use the Rider-Waite Radiance deck and BiddyTarot.com for interpretations.
Thanks for this, Jan, very applicable to me at the moment. I read a cartoon yesterday and it pictured a man at his computer. He says: “I am not sure if I am home from work or working from home.” I thought that was appropriate as the two have become very blurred.
This card definitely fits, Jan. Keeping a good balance day to day is difficult. I’ve had to use good judgment and prioritize. Stay safe and healthy❣️
As have we all, Vashti. And it has become a balancing act for so many, especially young families who are trying to still work and homeschool their children. One day at a time! Thanks for stopping by and you stay safe and well too!
I think that is a fabulous hat.
Lol, Craig! That is a fabulous hat. 🙂 Actually, I thought you might comment on the ships on the water too. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
I love that this card was picked today. I don’t handle change well; it activates my anxiety to a whole other level. I chose to create a schedule for myself every day, leaving an hour or so each day for “optional” activities. I have found that having that schedule has brought me balance and calm. I adjust it every now and then with ease because I realize that it is my self-imposed schedule, and therefore, I can modify it. 🙂
That is such a practical and grounding way to approach this huge change we are all facing together, Yvette! Kudos to you for taking the initiative and recognizing what you would need to get through it. Balance and calm are much needed right now in whatever way it takes for each of us to achieve it. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! Hugs!
Oh wow, Jan… I feel completely aligned with this card. This past weekend was one of pause and deep reflection and it has helped immensely. It gave way to clarity, gratitude, and an enriched conviction. I know so many are struggling right now and it’s going to take all of us working together and supporting each other to get through this. I have faith that we will. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Sending blessings and (((hugs))) across the miles. xo
Well-said, Natalie! have faith too and I love seeing the support and unity that the crisis is bringing. That is encouraging! I truly appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment today! Hugs!
I connected to this card. I do have a lot I need to do, but I’m too distracted to do it. I’m in my same space yet its all changed. I now understand the tower card I picked for this year…lol. Its all about adapting to change. Thanks, Jan.
Oh my goodness, Denise. The Tower is the one and only card in the Tarot deck that I fear. It is a strange or not so strange coincidence that my daughter drew the Tower Card for the month of March. Little did she know it would affect the entire world. I keep you in my thoughts, Denise, and send you light and love every time you cross my mind. Hugs!
Hugs back and thank you. Sending you and your family light and love, too. I think that tower was warning us of a big change which it was.
Thank you very much for this article 🌺 It was extremely interesting to read 🌺 🌺 🌺
Wonderful, anaeleamaya! Thank you for stopping by!
Another moment when you made my jaw drop with the card you picked. Just today I made clear that I don’t go for another advanced education in my employed job since I just reduced my work hours for having more time in my self-employed business. I said that finally, I have reached a healthy balance between the two again. This card is such a confirmation. Wow!
I love that the card is a confirmation, Erika. The Universe always knows what we need to hear and to bolster our decisions. I appreciate you stopping by and am happy you have found a healthy balance! That’s wonderful. Have a great day!
Amazing how confirming. What a wonderful empowering feeling 💖
For me, I don’t see how it applies. I can’t go anywhere or do anything to help me create a balance. Each day is all the same. So, balance for me is very uneven and worse I see no way to even things out. I know I need (I crave) outside stimulation of some kind but I don’t get that. Just monotonous work and my greatest fear is that I get burned out and can’t write anymore. Then I don’t know what I’d do. If I could just get outside and walk that would help. Even so, it’s freezing and we have snow to deal with. Love you, Sister.
Your situation is tough for sure, sister. Exercise is so important and when they won’t let you walk the hallways OR go outside, that’s hard. I wish I had some answers or words of wisdom for you. It would help tremendously if you could even go get your hair or nails done. All I can suggest is to connect with the outside world daily by phone and social media. It’s not good, but it’s all you’ve got. Hang in there. I love you!
Excellent reading today, Jan. Yup, multiple priorities for sure and it is important to keep it all in balance. Thanks.
Thanks, John! I agree that it is important to keep it all in balance and in perspective. I appreciate you stopping by!
My pleasure.
Reblogged this on GrannyMoon's Morning Feast.
Thanks for another great post, Jan. Reblogged to StephenGeez.com.
Thanks, Stephen.
You had me at “Groundhog Day.” It’s one of my favorites! The film and your reading certainly capture some of what we are experiencing these days. Finding balance doesn’t come easily, but we each need to make our peace with the confines of location, time, and circumstance. Thank you, dear Jan. ♥
I think one comfort we can all take is that we are in this together. That alone has the power to unite if we choose it. Thank you, dear Gwen, for stopping by and leaving a wonderful comment. Take care of you and Larry and I pray that you are able to maintain your peace! Hugs!

Good morning Jan. A very good card you pulled today. I loved your explanations on it. Yes everyday is starting to feel like Groundhog Day. I’m working from home, but not much work is going on, right now. I’m so ready to get back to normalcy. However, I have taken advantage of this time and spring cleaned my house, that way when we are released, I will not have to fret over house work and I can concentrate on my inspections. Have a great day. Love you.
That’s a great use of the time, Tonya. Work for today, but plan for tomorrow. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I think we can all agree that we are ready to get back to some semblance of normalcy! Take care, my friend. Much Love!
Reblogged this on Campbells World and commented:
This car definitely fits my world right now. Stuck in a loop, succeeding in one way and falling down the rabbit hole in the other. Story of my life.
Thanks for stopping by, Patty. Yes, I think a lot of us are all in the same boat. And, thank you for reblogging!
You are very welcome. My pleasure.
Well the boat is leaking on one end and floating on the other so we are just hanging in there.
