Jewel is a short story that takes no more than a half-hour. In that time though the author transports the reader to a different world where what seems wrong will be right. I would recommend this story to anyone who loves to be involved in a tale and is willing to be moved by it.

I loved this short story. The story was clear & easy to follow. The title of the story clearly relates to the story of a poor family of a mother & two girl children who are in a desperate need to save themselves from their impoverishment. The plot, as well as the concept of the story, is creative, unique & interesting…

Well-developed characters, realistic colloquial dialogue, and an intriguing plot. A great read.
