#TarotTuesday – Ace of Wands

Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!

If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.

I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If you’re interested, here’s a LINK.

Last week we had the Ace of Swords. This week the Universe gives us the Ace of Wands.

Keywords: Inspiration, new opportunities, growth, and potential.

As with last week’s Ace of Swords, this card also represents new beginnings. But unlike the Swords, the Wands represent our spiritual side.

This Wands card brings you pure potential – this time in the spiritual, energetic realm. Ideas are flowing to you, motivating and inspiring you to pursue a new path. You are open to receiving new opportunities that align with your Higher Self. A whole world of possibility is available to you.

The Ace of Wands encourages you to follow your heart and live your passion. If you feel a strong pull towards a new project or path, but are questioning whether it will work, then this card gives you a gentle nudge to pursue your passion. Let your energy, dedication and motivation be your guides.

If you have been looking for a sign about whether this is the right project, then the Ace of Wands is a clear YES! The sprouting wand and the fertile landscape in the background are all positive indications that this idea has the potential to turn into something fulfilling and energizing. Use your creative energy and passion to take the first steps. Even if you prefer to plan out everything before you begin down a particular path, the Ace of Wands wants you to listen to your instincts and follow your gut. If it seems like a good idea, it probably is. So, start with a few fundamentals to get things rolling, and then continue to grow and develop your ideas through more complex activities later on. The important thing is that you act now rather than spending more time planning or researching.

Keep in mind, however, that just like we said last week, the Aces represent potential but not guaranteed results. The Ace of Wands (or any Ace) is a seed that has yet to grow into something more substantial or sustainable. See this card as the spark needed to fuel a massive fire, but remember that the flash itself is not enough to keep the flames burning. You have to do the work.

The Ace of Wands may appear when you have an opportunity to grow on a personal or spiritual level. You may be interested in taking a class or investing in a course so you can follow your creative spirit. For example, you might enroll in a photography class, a Tarot course, or a self-improvement program. Trust that this experience will open you up to even more possibilities.

Two weeks in a row, we are getting strong messages about following our inspirations and not being afraid to start down a new path. Even if your new project is going to require extensive research, this card is telling you to go ahead and start it, then do the research. It is an action card, in response to inspirations or nudges. My next story takes place at a horse sanctuary, of which I know nothing. So, while I will have to do lots of research, I may go ahead and start the first few pages just following this nudge. How about you? Was our message last week not strong enough? 🙂 Here’s to new ideas and the courage to act on them!

As always, thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!

This is my comfort zone following my heart! I will have to see where it takes me next, but I have a few ideas bouncing around. I love the sound of your new book, Jan, and having horses in it.

    1. Thank you for stopping by, Denise! Isn’t it fun to have ideas bouncing around inside our heads? There is nothing like creativity to give us a zest for life! Have a great day and stay safe up there!

  2. This card goes really well along with the school I have started this year. I feel it as my path and calling to get into that matter but there is hard work to do, of course. Represents the message you described here very well and it confirms that my choice has been right.

    1. Hi, Erika. I love your comment. You know, I think deep down, we always know what is the right path for us, but it helps to have confirmations show up along the way. How wonderful that you feel that from this card! Your hard work and perseverance will pay off. Thank you for stopping by! Best wishes!

      1. I see the cards that way too. In fact, they don’t tell us the future but actually the present moment and give us an outlook on the possible future in case we don’t change anything. They make us see a situaion clearer or confirmed. That’s what I love so much about the cards.
Thank you, Jan. You have a blessed day 💖

  3. This is a great card and I love the energy it brings. My new book is off to a great start and I feel this one might be my best yet. I’m just loving the sparks coming from these two characters. Good luck to you, sister, on your new story! Love you.

    1. I’m loving your new story too, sister! It’s been a while since I’ve seen this spark in your work! I’m so excited to see how the story unfolds. Thank you for stopping by! I love you!!

  4. I noticed the two aces in a row. Lots of energy swirling around you, Jan. I think the strong sense of transition that occurs in spring and autumn spurs inspiration and they’re great times to start new projects. I’m feeling inspired to read and nap! Lol. Happy Researching and Writing!

    1. Read and Nap are good things to pursue.

      Food For Thought

We all are the Light, automatically. So we really don’t have to go too much further than that. We all have a Light within us – it is the Soul; it is that spark of God, of the Divine, that activates our consciousness.

    2. Napping is good, Diana! 🙂 I agree about spring and autumn. Both seasons inspire creativity! Thank you so much for stopping by and best wishes on the launch of “Liars and Thieves!”

  5. Hi Jan and all.
    Great card this week.
Lots of projects in the works.
Have been working on narrowing my focus so that I remain on task with everything and am seeing the fruits of my labor.
This card, like last week’s tells me I’m on the right path and is sending me forward.
    Great interpretation.
I’ve been keeping notations in my journal on my daily card draws.
Having a deck of my own to draw from makes it so much more meaningful.
I too use the Rider-Waite deck and Biddy Tarot.
    Have a great day!

  6. Beautiful interpretation, Jan. I always look forward to visiting Tarot Tuesday. 🙂 ♥

  7. That nudge is being more insistent with me in the last few days, Jan, so yes—I do see myself fiddling with a new project. Even if it’s only to make a few notes at this point, while finishing up a different project. Currently, my creative energy seems to be running pretty high, and I love when that happens 🙂

    1. It is exhilarating when the creative energy kicks into high gear, Mae! Run with it. I’m in the same boat, finishing my clean-up edit on Book #2 of The White Rune Series, but I’m chomping at the bit to get started on Book #3 and know exactly how I want to start it. I’ve been taking notes. 🙂 Whatever it is that you are creating, I look forward to it because I know it will be a great read!! Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!

  8. I don’t have any new projects in my mind, but with everything going on with school, I had put my writing to the side. This card is reminding me to get back to it. I also have a mindfulness teacher training course coming up, and I’m looking forward to learning more in that class, so maybe this card is a little nudge toward that. 🙂

    1. Mindfulness is so important right now, Yvette, for all of us. I’m so glad you are participating in the RWISA Critique Group as that will keep you moving forward with writing! 🙂 Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a better day today! Hugs!
