Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!
If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.
I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If youβre interested, hereβs aΒ LINK.
Today’s card is the Six of Pentacles.
The keywords associated with this card are: Giving, receiving, sharing wealth, generosity, and charity.
You may remember that Pentacles represent the physical and six is a number of harmony.
Perhaps you are like the wealthy man in this card, sharing your wealth and abundance with others. Even if you are not financially wealthy, you offer up your time, energy, love and support to those who are in need, knowing it will be appreciated. Giving of your time or your wisdom is often just as spiritually fulfilling as giving away money or gifts, and the intangible gift of your presence is received just as well, if not better. There may be times when you wonder if you can truly afford to give generously to others β and the wise advice of the Six of Pentacles is to trust that every contribution you make is valued and will come back to you threefold.
You may also be inclined to make a loan to someone on the premise that they will eventually pay you back once they are back on their feet. This is a loan built on trust and good faith, knowing that if you give something away, it will come back to you. Remember, though, that this exchange is more about a short-term fix and not a sustainable solution. So, think about how you can financially support your family or friends in a way that encourages them towards self-sufficiency.
On the other hand, you may be on the receiving end of other peopleβs generosity, accepting these gifts with gratitude. This will help you to get back on your feet and to eventually repay the charitable organization or individual, either with your time or your restored wealth. You will also need to identify ways in which you can become more self-sufficient in the long run. The risk of accepting charity is that you become dependent on it and cannot look after yourself. Be mindful that you are not growing submissive or noticeably desperate as a result of the charity that someone else is providing you.
Finally, the Six of Pentacles is a card representing financial harmony. The amounts flowing in and out are in balance, and you are thankful for what you have and happy to share with others in need.
To me, this card represents any form of giving and receiving, whether it be of money, time, support or whatever form it takes. I love that it stresses the balance between giving and receiving. Many of us are givers by nature and find it difficult to accept when we are on the receiving end. This card is encouraging us to understand the flow. Your thoughts?
As always, thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!
I use the Rider-Waite Radiance deck and BiddyTarot.com for interpretation
Glad I found this post Jan. I’d missed a few of your readings and seems gmail has decided to start sending me missing blogposts lol. I appreciated your little video because I recently begun working with oracle cards and have a lot of trouble shuffling them, lol, so thanks. π x
Wonderful, Debby! I’m so glad Gmail decided to spit out the missing posts. π I recently found some blog posts from blogs I follow in my Spam box. Who the heck knows. At any rate, I’m glad you enjoyed my video. I actually took that idea from Doreen Virtue and watching her shuffle. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks again. And I love Doreen Virtue! <3
Another good reading, Jan. The first interpretation resonated with me as taking pleasure in being able to care about the life of the community. I look forward to your Tuesday reading.
Thank you, Robert. I have no idea why I’m just now seeing your comment. The woes of technology. At any rate, thank you for stopping by!
I’m looking forward to reading tomorrow’s.
A beautiful card this week, Jan. I have been on the receiving end of unconditional love and the giving of time and energy since my daughter became my carer several years ago. Finding ways to let her know how much she’s appreciated are so important to me. Balance is everything. π
You said a mouthful, Soooz. Balance is everything in all aspects of life. You are most fortunate to have a loving daughter to help care for you. Family is so important and you are blessed! Thanks for stopping by!

What a great card Jan. I tend to give until I end up burnt out. I’m learning I need to allow receiving in my life more for balance. Perfect card for the moment and would be so healing if it applied our world.
It’s interesting that Yvette said the same thing and I totally agree. I give until I’m depleted, and, as you say, burnt out. So finding a balance is a goal for me. And yes! The world definitely needs some balance right about now! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment!
A great card to pull while on a blog tour. The generosity of others can’t be ignored. So grateful for all the help.
So very true, John! This card really fits you this week! Thank you for stopping by!
π
What a beautiful and inspiring card. I do love the emphasis on balance. I’m a giving person by nature too. I enjoy giving of my time and support, and if I had money I would give more financially. However, it’s only human nature to want to recieve once in a while too. Great reading, Jan! <3 xo
So true, Vashti! It feels good to be on the receiving end once in a while! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment today! Hugs!
A lovely and uplifting card this week, Jan. I especially like the message of balance with giving and receiving. As you said, the card is about so much more than mere monetary amounts.
Thank you, Mae! I’m happy you stopped by and you are so right – giving isn’t always about money or physical things.I appreciate your comment! Thank you for lending your time to comment. π It is a gift!
A lovely card this week, Jan. I read Miriam’s comment above and thought she has achieved a wonderful balance in her life.
I agree, Robbie. Miriam’s comment made me smile! Thank you for stopping by!
Jan, I do have a great sense of balance in my life right now. My heart is overflowing with good things that I share with others. But as you said, I have a hard time being on the receiving end. My life has opened up though in a beautiful way. It’s a wonderful feeling to know someone cares about me. Love you dearly, sister!
Yes, it is, sister! I love that you are enjoying a period of life where you have good and wonderful sharing going on! I love you and send you well-wishes for tomorrow! Thank you for your comment!
An inspirational message, Jan! I’m with you on giving being measured in so many ways and remembering that we all have something to give and to be grateful for. Balance is beautiful! <3
So, true, Bette! We do all have things to give and also to receive. Balance is a beautiful thing! Thank you for your comment!
Kind of a refreshing card this week. Here’s to all of us finding some balance.
Exactly, Craig. And hope that somehow it spills out into the world! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you, Granny Moon, for the reblog!
I agree very much with you. I have had difficulties too, accepting to be at the receiving end. But I really learned to simply appreciate it. I also learned that it is not necessarily a giving and receiving between the same parties but just an exchange where it is needed. You may receive from someone, accept it gratefully. And someone else needs something, give happily!
Well-said, Erika. And, as the card says, it doesn’t necessarily mean material giving and receiving, but of our time, our energy, our love. Thank you so much for stopping by!
Yes, absolutely. Simply giving and/or receiving what is needed or required in that very moment. That’s what life should be about. I love that card π

What a lovely message, Jan. I really like the notion of flow — giving and receiving. Thank you for this beautiful reminder.
Everything in balance, Gwen. That’s hard to achieve in life, but a worthy goal. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Jan Sikes presents Tarot Tuesday
Thank you for the reblog, Annette!
I am definitely a giver, but I need to work more on that balance because I find myself depleted often.
Exactly, Yvette. So do I. I will give until there’s nothing left. It’s all a balance and one that’s not easy for givers to achieve. Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!
Good morning Jan- What a fun Card. I love yo give gifts and surprise others. Anything to bring a smile to anotherβs face. Thanks for sharing. May you have a terrific Tuesday & week. Love & hugs!
You, Tonya, you are definitely a giver. It’s hard to find that balance of also receiving. Thank you so much for stopping by and I love that you bring smiles to others! That’s a beautiful thing! You have a great Tuesday as well. Much love!
A lovely card this week, Jan, and so apt. Here’s to finding that balance! Thanks for sharing π
Yes, Harmony! Here’s to finding balance. Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!
Ah, balance. So hard to achieve. Thanks for explaining this one, Jan.
Yes, it is, Staci. But it’s not impossible. Life is all about giving and taking. I think of it like the ebb and flow of the tide. Thank you so much for stopping by today and leaving a comment!
I appreciated the message of this card and what it represents, Jan. I think this is my card. I’m always a giving person, my time, my care, my financial support, my ear, and my affection. I was taken advantage once because I thought the person who asked for a loan would pay me back but she didn’t. I’m more careful after that.
I’m also on the receiving end. After my husband was retired three and a half years ago, he volunteered to do all the cooking. Yes, he kept his word and cooks every meal, plus doing dishes. I feel spoiled. It’s a great card for me this week, Jan.
That’s such a great example of finding the balance of giving and taking, Miriam! How awesome that your husband does all the meals. You are very spoiled, but I have a feeling you spoil him in return. π Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! Have a great day!
He said I did all the cooking for all the years before his retirement, and he wants to take over the cooking. π Yes, we share chores around the house and I’m glad it happens. Have a wonderful day, Jan.
