#TAROTTUESDAY – KNIGHT OF PENTACLES

Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!

If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.

I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If you’re interested, here’s a LINK.

Today’s card is the Knight of Pentacles.

Keywords for the Knight of Pentacles: Hard work, productivity, routine, and conservatism.

This Knight is the most hard-working, methodical and detailed-oriented character of the Tarot deck. He may not be the most inspiring or creative Knight, but he’ll do the work to get the results he seeks, even if that work is highly repetitive or routine.

When this card appears in a Tarot reading, you are working methodically towards your goals. You have a plan in place and are sticking to your schedule to get the job done. You may not work particularly quickly, but you are consistent, dedicated and committed to your goal. Put one foot in front of the other and finish the job. This card also asks you to continue doing what you are doing, plodding along and making gradual progress. No need to change your approach. Go with the flow, stick to your usual routines, and over time, you will reach your goals.

Meticulous in your approach, you make sure that everything is planned and executed down to the tiniest detail. And you will never leave a job half done. It is essential to you that you complete all assigned tasks and projects to a certain standard and that you follow through on your promises.

Sometimes, the Knight of Pentacles points to the more mundane or boring aspects of life – the daily grind, repetitive schedules, household chores, and other responsibilities and obligations. You may be assigned a project or given a task to do, and you will have to commit your time to see that project through to the end successfully. With the Knight of Pentacles, you will be required to accept responsibility without any complaints or grudges.

The Knight of Pentacles suggests that you are taking a moderated and conservative approach to life right now, and while you may be feeling that change is imminent, you are sticking to your tried and tested ways of doing things. You have established that you need routine and careful planning if you are to achieve your goals. It may not necessarily be an exciting period, but at least you know you are on the right path. Even if you are growing tired and want to quit, this Knight invites you to keep at it, and you will eventually see success.

Well, I don’t know about you, but this card fits me to a “T” right now. It’s all about buckling down and doing the work. The excitement of the creativity from the Aces and Eights cards has died down and now we just need to work. Does this card resonate with you?

As always, thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!

I just had to hop back in and add this to today’s post. This is my astrological horoscope for today. 🙂 Oct 13, 2020 – This is a terrific day to roll up your sleeves and get to work, Leo, and the wonderful thing is that from the look of it you’ll enjoy every minute so don’t let the prospect of a little work scare you away.

Yep!

  1. Another wonderful read, Jan! The card resonates with me, especially with its suggestion that we settle in for the long haul. It’s as though the choices have faded to the background, and now I simply need to focus–sometimes just on the next step or two. Thank you for the inspiration!

    1. Anytime we are in the process of writing a book, we are definitely in it for the long haul, Gwen. There is no doubt about it. The choices that came about from the Aces and then the eights have settled into plain ol’ hard work. Yes, we need to focus and put one foot in front of the other. Thank you so much for stopping by! Hugs!

  2. This card is so definitive of where I’m at right now. The world has been such a chaotic place for us all in this year of great challenge and change. I seek and find comfort in my daily routine, The familiarity offers the promise of satisfying endings that are only achievable if we just buckle down, grit our teeth at our own impatience, and do it. 😊

    1. Well-said, Soooz. Daily routine (or the daily grind, as we like to call it) can have a certain stability about it. I love what you said about familiarity offering the promise of satisfying endings. As always, the choice is ours. Thank you SO much for stopping by!

  3. I’m so happy you added that last bit at the end, Jan! I feel like it was just for me. 😉 I love this Stephen King quote: “Amateurs sit and wait for inspiration, the rest of us get up and go to work.” Dreams won’t work unless you do.

    1. Sometimes the messages are so strong and then they get reinforced, and that’s what happened after I drew this card, then saw the horoscope. Hard work ahead. But, I never shy away from hard work. So, bring it on! I love the Stephen King quote! Thank you for stopping by!

    1. You know, as I read this card, I thought of the turtle. It plods along at a steady pace. You never see him rushing around. Slow and determined is a great way to travel through life! Thank you for stopping by!

  4. Wow, I cannot imagine a better fitting card for my personality. Making plans, sticking to them, scheduling and organizing everything around in order to reach them in the best possible …or even most perfect way… 😄

    1. Wonderful, Erika! Confirmation and validation are both wonderful and sometimes we need each of them. This is yours. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs!

  5. Hmm. It does resonate to a degree, Jan. I KNOW I need to buckle down on a few things hanging over my head right now. I’m making an effort but I’m not quite there yet. I’ll consider this a reminder to stay on track, LOL!

    1. You know, Mae, I think one thing that is keeping us on edge and not able to really focus like we know we can or should, is this danged election and nasty politics going on. I don’t listen to the news so I don’t hear a lot of it, but I see it on Facebook. It’s unsettling. Hopefully, we can all find the focus we need to buckle down. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  6. This card completely resonates with me. Now that we are back to teaching in person, I feel like this knight. I am not finding joy in what I’m doing, but I’m going through the motions and making sure I do everything well. It’s not a fun stage but a necessary one. Here’s to hoping it doesn’t last too long. Lol! 🙂

    1. You describe it perfectly, Yvette. It’s going through the motions, the routines that we are familiar with, and putting one foot in front of the other. Here’s hoping that once we have a vaccine against this virus, things may begin to calm down. Hang in there, and thank you for stopping by!
