Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!
If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.
I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If you’re interested, here’s a LINK.
Today’s card is from the Major Arcana. It is the first card in the deck and numbered zero, the number of unlimited potential, The Fool.
Keywords: Beginnings, innocence, spontaneity, or a free spirit.
The Fool is a card of new beginnings, opportunity and potential. Just like the young man, you are at the outset of your journey, standing at the cliff‘s edge, and about to take your first step into the unknown. Even though you don’t know exactly where you are going, you are being called to commit yourself and follow your heart, no matter how crazy this leap of faith might seem to you. Now is a time when you need to trust where the Universe is taking you.
As you undertake this new journey, the Fool encourages you to have an open, curious mind and a sense of excitement. Throw caution to the wind and be ready to embrace the unknown, leaving behind any fear, worry or anxiety about what may or may not happen. This is about new experiences, personal growth, development, and adventure.
The time is NOW! Take that leap of faith, even if you do not feel 100% ready or equipped for what is coming (who knows what it could be?!). Seriously, what are you waiting for? Do you think you need to have everything mapped out before you can begin? No way! Not with the Fool. He ventures out on his journey with just his essential belongings – and now he invites you to do the same. You don’t need to wait for someone to give you the green light or hold off until you have all the skills, tools and resources you think you might need. You are ready! If you’ve been watching for a sign, this is it!
This card asks you to embrace your beautiful, carefree spirit, allowing yourself to connect to the energy that surrounds you and flows through you. Tap into your fullest potential by stepping into a place of wonderment, curiosity and intrigue. Live life as though you were a child once again. Laugh more, dance, and let your heart go free.
This is an excellent card to meditate on if you are struggling with dread, worry or self-doubt in your life. The Fool is your guide, as someone who is daring and carefree. He is the embodiment of who you really are – your free spirit, your inner child, and your playful soul. Any time you experience fear, remember the essence of the Fool as he encourages you to acknowledge that fear and do it anyway! You never know what the future holds, but like the Fool, you must step into the unknown, trusting that the Universe will catch you and escort you along the way. Take a chance and see what happens.
I must say this is NOT the card I expected to turn up on election day in the United States. I am somewhat puzzled by it. So, for me I am going to go with the message of moving away from dread, worry or self-doubt and find that inner child. Your thoughts?
Thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!
Folks, there is only five weeks left in this series and we will have covered every card in the Tarot deck. I appreciate each of you who have taken this journey with me. It’s been an incredible experience!
As always, I use the Rider-Waite Radiance deck and BiddyTarot.com for interpretations.
I’m taking it as a sign I should enjoy life instead of worrying so much!
I’m joining you, Jacquie! Thanks for stopping by!
My first reaction to this card was exactly like your conclusion, Jan. I think this is a perfect card for Election day. We’re ready for new beginnings, whatever it may be. With new beginnings, we have new hopes, new aspirations, try to do old things in new ways. Thank you for sharing this card with us.
My pleasure, Miriam. Thanks for stopping by!
You’re welcome, Jan!
Wow, this same message has been following me with my own readings. Time to bust loose! <3
Fantastic, Debby! Thank you for stopping by!
Brilliant reading, Jan. Spot on! <3
Thank you, Colleen. I’m happy you stopped by!
You’re so welcome, Jan. <3
Perfect pick for today… <3 xo
Thank you, Bette!
Just recently it has become so clear to me that most (or all) of my stress originates from the expectations I have for myself. And in addition to it, I am someone who becomes nervous when the things I am responsible for are not under control. What more do I need to say… yes, The Fool is definitely a clear message, confirmation, and answer to my insight… lol
That is an interesting observation, Erika. I would venture to say that we all fall in that category of expecting so much from ourselves. I am so happy the card today brought you a message that resonates! Thank you for stopping by!
I agree, Jan! To me it was like a confirmation that I “got it” a bit more that I need to reduce those expectations and bring more lightness into my behavior… Always enjoying your Tarot posts, Jan!
For me this is right on target. My life is taking a serious turn that I hadn’t expected. I’ve found love again and even the possibility of it seemed totally out of the bounds of reason. I really feel like a child again. I laugh all the time and have this excitement bubbling up inside. This is a very accurate card for me. I love you, sister!
Amazing, sister. We never know what is around our next corner and sometimes it’s the most unexpected surprises. I love that you have found someone to love and care for you again. Laughing is wonderful and love is wonderful! I am so happy for you! Love you!
This card speaks loud and clear to me at the moment! I need to throw away that self-doubt I carry around with me and give myself over to the pleasure of undertaking the new journey my writing is heading out on. Thanks so much for these posts, Jan. ❤
Absolutely, Soooz! Throw self-doubt out the window and bring out the inner child to play! Thank you for stopping by!
I’m with you, Jan. I’m taking away the same thing––to move away from worry and self-doubt. 🙂
Yes, Vashti! Thank you for stopping by!
Great card and I’m hoping we get that new peaceful beginning.
For sure, Denise!
Some tout that the election will be a new beginning. Maybe that is the significance of the card.
Maybe so, John. Thanks for your comment!
😁
YAY, wonderful card! Underneath the craziness and angst, we’re kids at heart. The Fool returns us to who we are. How perfect for today! 🤗
You are so right, Gwen. It was definitely not a card I would have thought of for election day but I agree with your comment1 Hugs!
I think it’s the perfect card for Election Day, Jan. I laughed out loud. I love the new ” beginnings!” and the “trust the universe.” We all need to take the leap of faith that our votes will count, that our country will survive this, and tap into our “fullest potential.” A day to be hopeful and vote (if we haven’t already).
Very true, Diana. And, keep understanding that ultimately, there is a power bigger than all of us in control! Thank you for stopping by!
I’m with Staci – I could use some playfulness right about now. Especially today.
Then the message is to look for that inner child that wants to come out and smile. I hope you find her today, Teri!

Thank you for reblogging, Granny Moon!
Worry is a constant companion of mine. I could use a little carefree playfulness. Thanks for sharing this, Jan.
Sometimes it’s difficult to find our inner child, but she is always there. Here’s hoping you can find a moment of playfulness in your day, Staci, and thank you for dropping by!
One of my favorite cards. He was the basis for the main character in a book I wrote years ago.
Awesome, Craig. That is one of the few books of yours that I have not read, but I know it’s sitting on my Kindle. I need to bring it forward! 🙂
Jan, I actually think it’s perfect for today. It talks about taking a chance. How many people are registered voters but have never voted? How many wonder if their votes really matter? I see this card as the encouragement they need to take that leap of faith and vote.
This card also speaks to new beginnings. Across our nation, people are voting today for new beginnings, whether it be at local, state, or the national levels. And this card speaks of holding on to the faith that everything will be alright and of trusting in the Universe.
Days like today are always hard for me because I am quite in tune with the energy that surrounds me, especially when that energy is amped up with anxiety and worry. This card reminds me to let it all go and just be free of it all, to enjoy life’s little pleasures today. And that’s what I plan to do. I’m quite happy I read this before starting my day. 🙂
Oh how wonderful, Yvette. I think you nailed it as far as this card relating to our country and election day. All we can do is vote and let go. That’s it. It’s out of our control. I have faith that there is something much bigger in control than the egotistical men and women who think they are. 🙂 Have a great day!

Thank you, Patty!
What an awesome series, it’s been, Jan! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
Today’s card couldn’t be more on-point for me. Due to my health issues, I’ve taken a hiatus from writing for the last little while, and to keep my brain going while also taking frequent rest, I’ve found myself dabbling in digital art and production. I’m about to launch an etsy shop with digital planners and stickers, and I’ve been learning all the way. This is so different to anything I’ve tried before, but I’m excited more than afraid, so I’m going to go for it.
Best of luck with the elections and all the craziness surrounding that, Jan. Hugs xx 🙂
Oh how wonderful, Harmony! I am thrilled for you that you are heading in a new and exciting direction. Please share your shop with us so we can find and keep up with what you are doing! My daughter is a huge Etsy shopper so I’ll share it with her. Best of luck and hope your health improves!
