Happy Monday! This is the last week of April. Is it just me, or are the days flying by faster? Here’s the thought for the week.
The meditation I chose to share today is positive affirmations. We so often fall victims to negative self-talk and then wonder why we draw negative to ourselves. The best way to turn that around is to change the negative to positive and watch miracles happen!
I chose to draw one Rune for this week.
Raidho is the rune of travel, representing the physical wheel of a wagon. This rune indicates you are setting off on a journey, whether in the external world or on an emotional or spiritual level.
If your travel is physical, Raidho signals a pleasant experience with few or no mishaps. If you are going on a spiritual quest, the going may require significant flexibility on your part, but the rewards of reaching your destination will be well worth it, as you are following your soul’s chosen path. Either way, you are advised to keep your focus on the experience of the journey itself, rather than on your arrival. This is because Raidho signifies not just the vehicle you ride in, but the road you travel on. You will be best served by making the most of every moment along the way.
A related interpretation of Raidho is “reunion”—specifically the return of old friends in your life or even the arrival of new people with whom you’ve made a soul agreement before incarnating into this life.
Some runic systems also view Raidho as an indicator that now is a good time for negotiations or deliberations related to agreements with others.
Finally, sometimes Raidho is simply a reminder to align yourself with the “wheel of life.” Know that life has ups and downs, ebb and flow, and constant seasonal change. The contrast between opposites is part of the journey of life.
My Takeaway: If you are planning a physical journey, expect easy sailing and enjoyment. If you are taking a spiritual journey, know that you will need to be open and flexible but the rewards will be worth the effort.
Drawing this rune affected me deeply on a personal level as I am embarking on a journey to Missouri on Thursday evening to indulge in some research for my new book. Taking a side trip to Branson will bring some fun and enjoyment into it as well. I know I should never be surprised by a rune or card, but still, I often gasp in amazement!
Here’s another beautiful dragon card to share with you.
HI Jan, this is an interesting rune. I have recently returned from a physical journey and it was lovely. I have made a few major decisions to cleanse my life of friends that upset me with undermining comments and remarks. I don’t like conflict so it was difficult to do, but I believe it will make my spiritual journey more peaceful going forward.
Enjoy your trip to Missouri! Your weekly insights are so fascinating.
Thank you, Priscilla! I’m glad you enjoy these posts!
Thank you, Diana!!
My journey is spiritual with ups and downs, so this is timely- thank you. I hope you have a safe, productive trip!
Safe travels, Jan. Branson is a wonderful place. I’m taking off for two weeks next week as I’m going cross-country to spend time with each brother.
A lovely pick, Jan. A perfect timing for you with a trip coming up. I wish you safe travels, awesomely fun research, and wonderful side trips. Hugs.
Best wishes on your trip, Jan. I have always had a fondness for Missouri since it is the family home state. I’ve never lived there but my Father’s side was there forever.
You are right, the messages of the rune and of my post are going along very well with each other. I like the message of the rune. It reminds you that a journey goes through different areas. You will see a lot, experience a lot, and learn a lot. You may not like it all, but you will grow from it. The secret is to keep moving. You are allowed to rest but you should avoid getting stuck on the way.
So very true, Erika. Our biggest challenge on this journey is staying present in the moment. But yes, we have to keep moving, always mindful and seeking our truth. Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate your support!
I love how you said that, Jan. My pleasure, and thank you too 💖
A perfect rune! One of my favourite.
Thank you, Darlene!
I love the reading, especially I love it for you. 💗 You’ll have fun on your trip, and I’m hoping you return with lots of photos. Blessings and hugs! 🤗
Thank you, Gwen. I know it will be a wonderful trip and I will take lots of photos. 🙂 I appreciate you stopping by! Hugs back to you, dear friend!
What a great reading and so timely for you:) Sounds like a great trip planned. I want to make it Missouri someday, its where my grandfather and his family came from. My mom as a little girl visited there with my grandparents and her visit made the local paper 🙂 My quests are all more spiritual right now over traveling.
Oh my, D.L! What a wonderful story. My mother was born in Missouri and maybe that’s why I chose that location for this story. She left there as a child, but still, it was her birthplace. Our spiritual quests are never ending. That is why we are here. So that aspect of the rune applies all the time. Thank you for stopping by!

This week’s post is a beautiful one from my friend, Jan. She shares similar posts weekly, and they never fail to amaze me. <3 Are you on a journey or preparing for one?
Thank you for reblogging, Mar!
These posts continue to amaze me, as well, Jan. They always seem to fit what I have going on. We’re now out of our hectic season, no more wedding planning and such. So I can finally concentrate on myself, my writing, and where I’m going. Our spiritual journeys, I feel, never truly end. We’re always growing and learning and finding ourselves. Thank you so much for sharing another wonderful inspiration.
You are most welcome, Mar. And you are so right about our spiritual journeys. They never end. I am so excited to see what inspirations you get for new stories! Thanks for stopping by!
April has been a blur for me, Jan. I feel like I’m riding a wave–in a good way. Have a lovely week. 🙂
April has been an intense blur for me, Mary. I was visiting with a friend yesterday and she said the same thing. The energy seems to be shifting and I am taking a deep breath! Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment!
Oh, my! This reading resonates loudly with me on an emotional level. I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something that will challenge me emotionally and mentally. I was just reminding myself to focus on the journey, not the outcome, when I read your post. I needed this post as a boost of strength and confidence that I am in control of this journey of my choosing and to focus on making the most of each moment. Thanks, Jan! 🙂
Thank you for your lovely comment, Yvette. We often need to be reminded that the focus should be on each step of the journey instead of always looking ahead. It helps bring some peace into the moment. I love that you are in control and feeling good about what you are doing! Have a great week!

I’ve got both types of journeys coming up, so this makes me feel good about them. Sounds like you’ve got a fun trip on the horizon, Jan!
Yippee! Here’s to safe and happy traveling, Terri. Thanks for stopping by!
I hope your trip is smooth sailing, Jan. Have fun with the research, and Branson is always fun. 🙂
Thank you, Joan! I am looking forward to the research AND the fun days in Branson. I appreciate your good wishes!
I don’t have any physical travel planned until June but I’m going to cross my fingers for a pleasant trip. On the spiritual side, I’m always looking for continued growth to guide me on the journey, so I can certainly relate. And I LOVE the dragon card. Another stunning image!
I love that, Mae. We are all on our spiritual journeys and continued growth is the goal. This was such a positive rune in all aspects. I love the dragon card too. Well, let’s be honest, I haven’t pulled one yet that didn’t stun me. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!
