Happy Monday! I’m glad to be back with my regular post.
Interesting Tarot cards this week.
The Ace of Swords represents new ideas. It is a sign of encouragement. It says your mind is in ‘expansion mode.’ You are open to embracing new ideas, craving stimulation, and you’ll jump at the next opportunity to learn something new. When the Ace of Swords appears in a Tarot reading, it tells you that now is an excellent time to start a new project – one that requires your intellect, communication skills, and mental power.
The Five of Wands indicates that you are in the midst of battle, tension, and competition with others, and it is impacting your ability to move forward with your goals. Rather than being able to work towards a common goal, you are running up against constant opposition. With the Five of Wands, everyone is fighting to be heard. But guess what? No one is listening. When everybody has a different opinion, but no one is stopping to hear each other out, conflict and misunderstandings will run rampant. If you find yourself in this situation, see it as an opportunity to rise above the chaos and disorder. The Five of Wands also encourages diversity and differences of opinion, and encourages an enthusiastic approach to change.
The appearance of the King of Wands suggests that an opportunity is presenting itself to you, and you now have the power to take on the challenge. You are the determining factor in this situation. If you want it to be successful, it will. And equally, if you do not fully commit to it, this seed will struggle to blossom and grow. You can create any outcome you wish, so be mindful about your intentions and vision. You hold the power. You achieve a lot because you are clear about your future direction and how you will get there – and do not waste your time on activities or relationships you believe will lead nowhere.
MY TAKEAWAY:
It’s always exciting to get inspired with a new idea or begin a new project, especially one that requires communication skills, but be careful and stay mindful of listening to others who may have input into the situation. You are the deciding factor in the outcome. But isn’t that always true in life? We create our realities.
Now for the Dragon Card. This one goes perfectly with the quote from Oprah as well as the tarot reading.
Have a GREAT week! Here’s to creativity, to staying positive and inspired!
Love the inspiration part Jan. We are admist this Mercury retrograde/full moon/ eclipse, mish mush, so no doubts bumpy ride. Love the dragon cards too. <3
That is for sure, Debby! Bumpy is putting it mildly. Thanks for stopping by!
<3
I love Oprah’s quote. Good reading, iike the idea of needing to listen to each other.
Thank you, Denise. I’m glad you enjoyed the post!
What an interesting reading, Jan, the second and third cards almost oppose each other and it would seem the conflicts in the first would need to be resolved to enable the second.
I agree, Robbie, and that was my first thought when I saw them. However, the King of Wands trumps the 5 and is just a good reminder not to take squabbles too seriously. Thank you for stopping by!
Such a fantastic quote – and very true. That’s a fierce dragon!
I agree, Teri. Sorry for the late response, but I found your comment in Spam. Ugh! WordPress randomly decides these things with no rhyme or reason. Anyway, thank you for visiting and leaving a comment!
I got angry several times today, so this is a good post for me. Calm down…
It happens, Jacqui, and most often justified anger. Take a deep breath. Calm thinking is better thinking. Hugs!
So the 8-week old puppy will learn to behave? Promise?
I promise! It’s a baby. 🙂
So, we are both back on the same day… yay! The reading is amazing. Looking at the Five of Wands you only realize how silly blind we often try to push our interests in the center of attention while everybody does the same… no one will ever win. I love your takaway.
So very true, Erika! It’s great for us to both be back. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! Hugs!
It is great 😁 you are welcome, I love your Monday Motivation 😊
This is a great reading, Jan! And from start to finish. The quote from Oprah is something I’ve embraced more as I’ve gotten older, especially as I’ve learned to take better care of my mental health. Having a circle of positivity is crucial.
With your readings, Jan, I’m often brought to my writing journey. Today’s reading is no different. As a writer, new ideas are always flowing. I like the term you used, expansion mode.
I look forward to what this week has in store for us. <3
We all can benefit from staying around positive people and keeping our thoughts positive, Mar. I think it’s something we do realize as we get older. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the reading and wish you great success with all your creative ideas!
Excellent reading, Jan. We do more deciding of our outcomes than we realize. Have a great week.
That is so true. Often we think we are victims of happenstance, but we always choose what we do with life situations. Thanks for stopping by, John!
😊
I love your final line — Here’s to creativity, to staying positive and inspired! PERFECT! Have a wonderful week, Jan. 💗
Thank you, Gwen, for stopping by and leaving a comment. I strive to stay in a positive frame of mind. That’s where creativity is free to thrive! Have a great week!
Wow, that reading just fell into place, didn’t it?
I’m actually eying up an exciting new project, and have very recently come off a situation that involved multiple opinions. Fortunately for me, the new project will be a solo one, and I’m excited to get started.
Happy Monday, Jan!
Yay! I’m glad the new project will be a solo one. The Ace of Swords is a great influence to begin something new. Glad the situation of multiple opinions is behind you! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I wish you much success with your new endeavor!!!
Very interesting read, Jan! I am about to start something new but am not sure if it’s worth my time. This reading reminds me that I can choose to stop that course whenever I feel like it. So, I’ll give it a try and see where it leads. 🙂
It is so empowering when we truly realize and embrace that we have choices. And you are right. You can choose to stop at any time if the path you chose is looking like a dead end. That being said, if we never take a chance, we never know. I wish you all the best, Yvette! Thank you for stopping by!
Isn’t it great to be back in the routine, Jan? I feel discombobulated without it. “And do not waste your time on activities or relationships you believe will lead nowhere.” Yes! Thanks for sharing.
Yes, it is, Jill. It’s great to get away, but always good to get back into a comfortable routine. And I totally agree with you about relationships and activities that are dead-ends. Thanks for stopping by!
I’d be interested in learning about the “classes” of cards, Jan. Like swords, cups, wands, etc. I know nothing about them, nor do I know what it means if you get two of one class in a reading versus three different kinds. Can you point me toward a short but sweet reference?
As usual, your cards speak to things going on in my life. It’s funny how I can take a draw meant for you but apply it to my situation. Thanks for sharing these.
In my original Tarot Card series, I explained each suit and what each represents. It’s pretty simple. Swords represent the intellect or mind. Cups represent emotions. Wands are associated with primal energy, and the spiritual aspect of our lives, while Pentacles represent earthly things like possessions and money. For a deeper look into the suits and what they mean, I recommend Biddytarot.com. That is my go-to source. In this reading, the five of wands could have to do with confusion about spiritual beliefs as well as issues with others. I love that the cards are relatable. When I draw them, I say a prayer that I get the ones we all need. And it never fails. Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great week!
Thanks for that summary and the link. (And for the prayers that we can all benefit from the draw/reading!) Wishing you a great week, too.
I’m so glad Staci brought this up! You’ve done a wonderful job of explaining the cards, Jan. So thank you both!
Reblogged this on GrannyMoon's Morning Feast.
Thank you for reblogging, Granny Moon!
Exciting and frightening reading at the same time.
I agree, Craig. Not every reading can be roses and sunshine. That’s not real life. We are going to face conflict and chaos. It’s part of the journey. The only choice we have is our reaction to it. Thanks for stopping by!
I love the quote, Jan. Hope you have a wonderful week.
Thanks, Joan. I loved the quote too. Positive all the way! Have a great week, too!
I love that Oprah quote. Have a wonderful week!
I did too, Darlene. Time to distance ourselves from the Negative Nellies! Thanks for stopping by!
