HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Going Offline

Hello, friends! If you are in the United States, you are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend. I am doing the same. I have missed all of your beautiful blogs the past few days as I was traveling to Lubbock, Texas for a wedding. Then, all the kiddos are out of school this week, so my time in front of the computer screen has been very scarce.

But all good! The wedding I attended for my great-nephew was truly beautiful. Here’s the bride and groom. They look so young. But the older I get, the younger they look. 🙂 They are both 20. The wedding ceremony included something I’d never seen with the bride and groom tying three cords together to represent the union of the bride, groom and God. I think that needs to be included in a book somewhere. 🙂

Taylor and Kelly Koch!

Then the bonus was getting to spend time with my brother and sister. There were five of us kids originally, and now there are only us three. We treasured the time together.

The weather was perfect for travel and we had such a good time reminiscing and sharing. And, of course, we laughed a lot. That always happens when we get together.

Now it’s almost Thanksgiving day. I will be away from the computer until after Thursday. This banner says it all!

I hope you have a lovely holiday however you celebrate!

  1. It looks like you had a wonderful holiday and beautiful time at the wedding, Jan. Great picture of the bride and groom – yes, young! Lol. And wonderful picture of you and your sibs. They’re precious, so I’m glad you got to spend some joyous time together. Hugs.

    1. Hi, Kristine. I will be at Rox’s for the cookie baking day! It’s the same day as my granddaughters’ piano recitals, so won’t be there until after that. Looking forward to seeing you there!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
