#MondayMotivation – #Meditation – #RuneReading – #DragonOracleCard

The theme this week seems to be focused on patience. I loved this quote from Warren Buffett.

Here’s a wonderful short meditation to give a focused and positive start to the day and week.

I was drawn back to the runes today for a reading. It’s been a while.

The rune in the past position is Perthro (Perdhro). It is considered to be the most mysterious of all the runes as scholars cannot agree on a clear meaning. In a rune cast, this rune often indicates something hidden that is about to come to light. It can also indicate that things are not as they seem. Perthro is associated with divination and the use of the runes as a means of discovering hidden knowledge. You are advised to pay attention to the signs and signals your intuition is picking up on.

In the middle, we have Ansuz which is the rune of communication, especially verbal. Messages, advice, or new information may be coming from external sources. Or, perhaps you are being asked to pay closer attention to the messages coming from your higher self. This certainly plays off the first rune about something which is hidden coming to light.

In the future position is Elhaz, which is the rune of defense and protection. It has a built-in protective force that discourages negative influences from affecting your personal experience. You are safe from danger but don’t take that for granted by being reckless with your actions. The strong message from this rune is, as long as you stay clear-minded, alert, and in touch with your intuition, you are headed for a positive outcome.

My Takeaway:

Not everything about a situation is known but if we pay attention and stay focused the truth will come to light and possibly in the form of communication, whether it be verbal or written. We are protected and can expect a positive outcome if we stay alert and clear.

And here’s another fabulous Dragon Oracle Card.

  1. I love this Rune reading. So true, things are often not as they seem. We need to trust our intuition and use communication to solve things.

  2. Hi Jan, You may get a weird email from me as I posted my comment to your contact email section by mistake. I enjoy these posts about runes very much and today’s is really interesting. As you know, patience is not one of my virtues.

    1. Hi, Robbie. I didn’t get an email, so no worries. 🙂 I am so glad you enjoy the rune readings. I do enjoy sharing them. Patience is definitely not my strong suit either. But I’m working on it. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. The quote made me chuckle. I have patience in spades. Lol! My inner voice has been a bit loud lately, but mostly with rumination so I’ve been ignoring her. Maybe I need to take some time to dig a little deeper, let the truth shine, and make peace with it. Great reading, Jan! 🙂

    1. You are very blessed to have patience, a virtue that works well for your chosen career. It’s always a good time to dig a little deeper for the truth.Thank you for stopping by!

It is curious why we seem so much more patient some days than others. I suppose it reflects how many things we have going on internally troubling us.

    1. I think that’s an astute observation, Pete. Some days it comes easier and others not so much. It’s a constant practice. Thank you for stopping by!

  5. I’m constantly trying to learn more patience, Jan – it’s a battle at times. I really like today’s dragon – some of my favorite colors.

    1. Yep, Teri. I’m right there with you. But I”m working on it. I’m glad you enjoyed the beautiful little dragon! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!

Great meditation, Jan 🙂 I loved the rune reading. I’ve been getting a lot of listen and trust my inner guide.

    1. I am so glad you enjoyed the meditation and reading. Trusting our inner guide is an amazing experience. We tend to doubt ourselves and wonder if the little nudges are really our guides, or our ego wanting something. But the more I listen, the easier it gets. Thank you for stopping by!

  7. There are always so many questions and we are questioning so quickly when we don’t understand why things are as they are. This reading is very encouraging.

    1. I agree, Erika. So many questions, but some things are to remain hidden until the timing is right. Thank you for stopping by and I’m glad you found the reading to be encouraging!

  8. A beautiful reading, Jan. I’ve been fortunate when it comes to patience. I have a high tolerance, I suppose. I like what Jill has said in your comments. I can definitely see how patience and peace go hand in hand.

    1. I too loved what Jill said. It makes so much sense to me that the two would go hand in hand. Thank you for stopping by, Marlena, and for leaving a comment! Hugs!

  9. Love the meditation and reading today, Jan. I hope it means the news I’m waiting for. 🙂 I think it’s a good reading for you too on Jagged Feathers release day! Wishing you tons of good luck and sales, Sister.

    1. I hope so too, sister! Things that are hidden need to be brought to light! 🙂 Thank you for stopping by and for the Jagged Feathers good wishes! Love you!

  10. A fascinating reading of the runes, Jan! I’m staying alert and clear – particularly after the wonderful relaxation! Wishing you a wonderful week, my friend! 😀

  12. I’m not the best with patience, but I’m learning to be better at it. I have a lot of patience when it comes to others, but not so much when it involves me. I’m working on that one, LOL.

    1. Yep! Same here. I can be very patient with others and then totally impatient with me. I’m working on it too, Mae. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. What a wonderful perspective, Jill. I love this and am going to embrace it. For, where there is peace, you will find patience! Thank you!!
