#TarotTuesday – Eight of Wands

Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!

If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a message to someone in need.

We have had a LOT of Wands come up in the past weeks. We’ve had the Three, the Seven, the Nine, the Page and the King. And now today we have the Eight of Wands. Hmmmm, the Universe is trying to get a message through with all of these wands.

Wands are associated with primal energy, spirituality, inspiration, determination, strength, intuition, creativity, ambition and expansion, original thought and the seeds through which life springs forth. And it’s element is fire. So, that tells me that we are in a period of inspiration and determination!

Eight of Wands

The keywords associated with this card are movement, fast paced change, action, alignment, and possible air travel.

The Eight of Wands indicates you have the freedom and space to move forward with your plans. This Eight is a dynamic card, containing a high level of energy that propels you forward to reach your goals at a much faster pace than ever before. You can expect to be very busy, but this is one of those ‘good busy’ periods during which you are enthusiastic about the progress you are making.

The Eight of Wands encourages you to go with the flow; don’t resist it. Everything is moving fast right now, so make the most of this forward momentum to manifest your goals and dreams. Allow the energy of the Universe to flow through you and propel you closer to your goal.

The Eight of Wands also invites you to be laser-focused with your intentions and actions. Determine what you want to manifest and then align all of your resources and energy to focus on that singular goal. Remove all distractions and devote yourself to the task with total concentration, determination and will. This experience can be highly productive, allowing you to accomplish a lot in a short time.

With the Eight of Wands, you can look forward to the rapid completion of a project currently underway, but you can also expect to be occupied by something new and even more exciting soon. There is no stopping you right now as you are bursting with energy and ideas, and you cannot wait to achieve one task and start another. To maximize this energy, make sure your activities align with your broader goals and invest in the right things at the right time. Also, make sure your previous task is complete before you move to the next one.

Well, I’d say that bodes well for us writers, wouldn’t you? So, here’s to completing projects and starting new ones! Let me know!

Thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!

As always, I use the Rider-Waite Radiance deck and BiddyTarot.com for interpretations.

    1. You are definitely right about the rib injury, but I am hanging in and praying for the day that I no longer have the pain! Yes! Wands light the way and provide the energy for moving forward!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Now THAT is one accurate card! I’m working on the final edit of my new novel and that needs to be my priority, I’ll need to watch that and take note of where I focus my energy, as the characters have taken over and driven me knee-deep into the sequel. My muse is currently running on rocket-juice. Loving it!

    1. Wow!! What a cool place to be in, Soooz. 🙂 When the muse visits, you have to take note. You can do it. The energy is there and the old saying, “strike while the iron is hot,” comes to mind. Thanks for stopping by and best of luck with all the endeavors!!

  2. The image of the card does support the message amazingly. Those wands show powerful energy which feels encouraging to let go of doubts and pondering and simply go for the idea and plans which want to be realized!

    1. I totally agree, Erika! The energy is there but it’s always up to us to do the work. I hope you materialize whatever you go after! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I like this one, Jan:) Focus on what you want and it will be productive is just what I wanted to hear.

    1. Exactly, Denise! Sometimes I get so scattered and all over the place I can’t focus on one thing, so this was a great reminder to me! I appreciate you stopping by!

  5. It’s nice to have such a positive message. Completing projects (hey, I just did that with a new website) and starting new ones sounds like a plan! 🙂

    1. I agree, Mae. And I love your new website! The energy to move forward is there and it’s always up to us to do the work. Here’s to new projects!! Thanks for stopping by!

    1. I do too, Craig. I have so many things hanging unfinished and I need the drive to dive in and get some of it wrapped up. This card has that kind of energy. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Wow. Was that ever right on, Jan. I leave in about an hour and will be moving my parents to senior living near me. It’s going to be a week of intense activity, precise goals, schedules, and determination. The line I’ll keep foremost in my mind… “The Eight of Wands encourages you to go with the flow.” Wise advice! Thanks.

    1. Fantastic, Diana! It will certainly help logistically to have your parents closer to you and in a safe environment. I’m happy the card resonated with you and gave you something to hold on throughout the week of intense activity! Sending good vibrations your way that the move goes smoothly! Hugs!

  8. I am loving these tarot readings. It’s funny how they seem to be going along with what’s happening in my life. I am involved in a huge project at work that has my supervisors putting the responsibility on my shoulders! We will be starting week 3 today and I have to give a presentation on Thursday how the 1st two weeks went.
Thanks Jan for sharing these with us.
I hope you had a great Labor Day and this week is a wonderful one for you. You are still in my prayers for a fast recovery. Love and hugs from KS to TX!

    1. I LOVE it, Tonya!! It is such a confirmation to see that the cards are relating to so many and what is going on in individual lives! I wish you the very best of luck with your presentation! I’m sure you will kill it!! Thank you for your prayers for healing. It’s happening, just slower than I’d like. 🙂 Have a GREAT day! Hugs!
