Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!
If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.
I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If you’re interested, here’s a LINK.
Today’s card is the THREE OF CUPS.
The keywords associated with this card are: Celebration, friendship, creativity, and collaborations.
This is an uplifting and encouraging card, especially in the throes of COVID-19, where social interaction is limited, to say the least.
The Three of Cups is a card of celebration, friendship, sisterhood, and creative collaborations. Your friends and family are here to support you and lift you up to even higher levels of success. Celebrate with them and enjoy their camaraderie.
This card reminds me of the wonderful connection shared by the four female characters in Sex and the City—Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda. They stand by each other through thick and thin, and they are always there for one another as they make their way through relationships, careers and different life journeys. Nearly every episode shows them enjoying each other’s company, often over a cosmopolitan at a swanky Manhattan restaurant. You get the feeling that these girls will be friends forever and know they can always count on each other for support and compassion.
When the Three of Cups appears in a Tarot reading, you are encouraged to gather with your closest friends and have a good time, talking, laughing, sharing and creating. Together, you give and receive the love, support and compassion each of you needs from one another. The energy is high, and you’re here to do amazing things together.
The Three of Cups often indicates a very sociable period – perhaps a birthday, a wedding, the holiday season or a vacation with friends. See it as your opportunity to let your hair down and forget about your day-to-day commitments and obligations for a while. Instead, spend quality time with friends and family and enjoy yourself!
This card also invites you to collaborate with others on a creative project and inspire one another to reach new heights. Collectively, you are working towards a common goal for the greater good of others, and by reaching out to others and banding together, you can achieve a great deal by sharing your positive energy and passion with the wider community. The Three of Cups is a very creative card, suggesting that you may pursue a creative outlet within a group environment, such as a writers group. This is a great way to connect with others and to access your creative abilities.
These days due to social distancing and limited physical contact, we find ourselves turning more and more to Zoom, video calls, and other internet platforms. It’s not ideal, but serves as a substitute. And even thought the image on this card is of three women, that doesn’t leave you guys out. Maybe it’s time for a chat with your buddies. What are your thoughts?
As always, thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!
I use the Rider-Waite Radiance deck and BiddyTarot.com for interpretation
Reblogged this on Campbells World.
Great message! Family and friends–how we need one another!
More than ever, Bette! Thank you for stopping by!
I apologize in advance i this is a rude thought.
Your explanations of the cards are the best I’ve seen. I have looked through so many books about how to read the cards and am under-whelmed at what is out there. Have you thought about taking your posts about Tarot cards and making a paperback book on Amazon?
Thank you SO much, floridaborne! I appreciate your comment. I too have experienced purchasing book after book, only to discard them because they are not comprehensive, or even accurate. As I state in each of these #TarotTuesday posts, I use Biddy Tarot to help me discern the cards and it is the best of the best out there!
I’ve used the Biddy Tarot website, too.
The problem I run into is that the books try to condense too much and Biddy Tarot doesn’t always condense enough.
I do tarot for fun. Years ago I read the cards for a woman who was the relative of a friend. I knew nothing about her and at first appearance she looked quite healthy. Most of her cards were swords, ending in the death card. I asked her if she were gravely ill. She had just been diagnosed with cancer.
Sometimes, the cards seem to speak to you — other times you have to dig. It’s nice to have clear, concise, and useable information. 🙂
The three of cups, what a wonderful card. Letting our hearts’ energy radiate joy to share it with each other and bring new things to blossom.
Hi, Erika. This is an uplifting and encouraging card and we can all use that right about now! Thank you for your beautiful comment!
You are welcome and I thank you so much sharing it with us!
How appropriate to pull this card today when a group of us just finished coming together and collaborating to celebrate Nonnie! I was also supposed to attend my cousin’s baby shower, but because of COVID, we all decided not to go. So, instead, the cousins collaborated to create a video where we each sent a message. It came out beautiful. 🙂
So true, Yvette! We did all come together to celebrate Nonnie and we also have the critique group collaborations that are amazing! Thank you so much for stopping by! The video sounds like a wonderful loving idea!
I think this is the perfect card right now. We need to support each other and be with our friends to remember the good times. I admit I’m burnt out and need that support you were talking about on Sex and the City. I hope the current divide finds that friendship again or for the first time.
Yes, Denise! Me too! The hatred and division that is so rampant in our country need to find a way to come to an end and let us love each other! I’m so glad you are participating in the RWISA Critique Group! Have a good day! Hugs!
This is a great card, Jan. I have been seeing a bit of my sisters. We are all sheltering-in-place so consider it to be a calculated risk. It is great to feel a bit normal again.
How wonderful, Robbie. There is nothing like sisters! Enjoy! Thank you for stopping by!
A fun card, Jan. Thanks for the fresh air today.
Thank the Universe, John. 🙂 I am just the medium.
Ah. We thanks for being the medium. 😁
Oh I love the idea of Tarot Tuesday.. I used the Tarot in my western A Cowboy’s Fate. Very uplifting post. We sure can use more positive energy out there. Need to get you on my “blogs I love list.”
Whoohoo! Thank you, Gini! I’d be honored to be on your list. Thank you for stopping by and I’m happy you enjoyed the post!
Lovely reading, Jan. Having traveled through the riots and pandemic fears, I think many of us have let it go. We don’t listen to news much and trust it even less. We are drawn to those who lift our spirits and prompt a laugh. I love your comment, “This card also invites you to … inspire one another to reach new heights.” How beautiful!
I haven’t watched the news in many years, Gwen, and I think I am healthier and happier for it. There is so little that we can control and so much we can’t believe, so we are better off spending time with those who lift us up in life! Thank you so much for stopping by. You inspire me to reach new heights! Hugs!

Very interesting since I just agreed to be part of a continuity series with a group of authors I’ve known forever. We’re like a family in a lot of ways. I’ve never been involved in a collaborative effort like this before but it’s very exciting. Now, if only I knew how to write a sweet romance. LOL! You may have to help me, sister! 🙂
Synchronicity, sister! 🙂 I love it when the card really does fit individual situations. I’m super excited about your new collaboration and look forward to reading what you write. Me, help you with sweet romance? Yikes! I think I’d be more help with erotica than sweet romance. You’ll have to check out my post tomorrow.:) Love you!
Such a beautiful card, Jan! Definitely a necessary positive in our crazy world. ❤
I couldn’t agree more, Marlena! Thank you for stopping by!
I like the message of this card. And as it turns out, I’m participating in an anthology with other writers, and have plans to see a few friends I haven’t been able to connect with in a while. So–perfect card! 🙂
Oh, how wonderful, Mae! Congrats on the anthology. I will look forward to it. Enjoy the camaraderie with friends! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a message!
A very positive card for today. I think we could all use a bit of this.
I totally agree, Craig! Any glimmer of positivity is welcomed!
