Monday #Motivation #Meditation #TarotReading

Welcome to the start of a new week!

Rumi Quote Created by Jan Sikes in Canva

As I talked about last week, I am going to choose meditations that help to activate our seven Chakras. Last week we focused on the Root Chakra. This week it’s the Sacral Chakra. It is located in the area between the belly button and the pelvic bone, and is the chakra related to our emotions, sexuality and creativity. Some simple ways to help strengthen this chakra is to wear the color orange, carry a Carnelian stone and say any of these simple affirmations: “I allow my creativity to flow through me. I embrace vibrant sexuality. My emotions are free flowing and balanced.” And now for our short meditation to help clear and activate this chakra.

When I drew the cards for our Tarot Reading this week, I literally gasped. I swear you cannot make this stuff up. I got chills from head to toe. A big thing to note from these cards is how powerful they are. Each of these cards is from the Major Arcana, which deals with our big life and karmic lessons.

See what I mean? When I drew The Lovers card after doing the Sacral Chakra Meditation, I was blown away. Folks, I believe in the power of the Universe and when things like this happen, it only serves to reinforce that belief. In its purest form, the Lovers card represents conscious connections and meaningful relationships. It is a card of open communication and raw honesty, but can also represent getting clear about your values and beliefs. At its heart, the Lovers is about choice. The choice about who you want to be in this lifetime, how you connect with others and on what level, and about what you will and won’t stand for. To make good choices, you need to be clear about your personal beliefs and values – and stay true to them. The Hermit card follows with the encouragement to take a break from everyday life, draw your energy and attention inward, and find the answers you seek, deep within your soul. The Hermit often appears when you are at a pivotal point in your life and considering a new direction. Through meditation, contemplation, and self-examination, you may begin to re-evaluate your personal goals and change your overall course. You will look at your life with a deeper, more spiritual understanding and a few of your priorities will change as a result. The Hermit also represents the desire to turn away from a consumerist or materialistic society to focus on your inner world. The Temperance card is all about balance – give and take, yin and yang, up and down. It encourages patience and moderation. This card calls on you to remain calm, even when life feels stressful or frantic. Maintain an even temperament and manage your emotions (again a direct connection with the Sacral Chakra). Be the peacekeeper. This Tarot card is about blending, mixing, and combining diverse elements in a way that creates something new and even more valuable than its separate parts.

So, an overall look at these cards gives us the inspiration to be open and honest in our communications (especially with ourselves), look inward and be introspective, and do all of this with balance, patience and inner calm.

Whew!

Make it a great week folks. We have a powerful opportunity!

  1. What great timing, Jan! I need these cards to keep me calm this week. I haven’t had a cold or flu for years, but unfortunately, I sat next to an unfriendly person on the plane so even when I was cold from the air on the plane, I didn’t want to bother her to let me get my jacket from the compartment above. I came home with a runny nose for three days now. I don’t want to take any medication because I have an allergy to some medication. I have been relaxed and not too anxious about it. It seems to be helpful and I think I’ll get over it in a few days!

    1. Here’s hoping you are 100% well soon, Miriam! Thank you for stopping by and I’m glad you could gain some peace from the cards. Hugs!

  2. Those are powerful cards with a powerful message, Jan. Worthy of some contemplation, I think. This season, year, time of life does feel like one of change that requires some inner realignment. Thanks for the wisdom. Now I’m off for a bit of meditation. 🙂

    1. I totally agree, Diana. This season, year, time of life do feel like one of change. They say before change comes great chaos and we are witnessing that daily. Keeping our inner peace and balance is super necessary! Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Wow, what a reading again!!! And sooooo extremely fitting me. I am blown away. I am at a place where I feel a blockage between me and me. I am longing for this re-alignment for calming those waves that are going up unpredictable lately. I know that I find it in drawing back from the noise of daily life, away from outer influences, and instead dedicating time to myself, in order to find the balance in my inner world again. I am amazed by this confirmation.

    1. I am always amazed at how the Universe gives us exactly what we need when we need it. There is no way to second-guess or create that kind of perfection. I am so glad you enjoyed the reading and meditation. Balance seems to be the keyword this week. I’m feeling it strongly. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. Have a great week ahead! Hugs!

I’m enjoying the chakra meditations, Jan, and the peace they return me to. I’ve neglected meditating for too long. What a amazing reading too. It clicked with me because during the meditation I was thinking of my personal truths and how I needed to honor them again, and to feel joy in the creative process:) Being peaceful within the craziness is a great place to be.

    1. Oh, Denise, I am so glad you found some peace and inspiration from the reading and meditation.
