I had the urge to hop on here and shine a spotlight on the work of someone very special to me, my big sister, Linda Broday!
About a year and a half ago, she was diagnosed with bladder cancer and it had spread to one kidney. That kidney had to be removed, leaving her with only one. At that time, she was quite sure her writing career was over.
Well, guess what??
She’s far from being done. With over forty books published, she’s still going and today I want to shine a spotlight on some of her most recent work!
BLURB:
Faith is the little bird that sings when the night is still dark.
After suffering a devastating accident, Rachel Malloy wakens with a stranger. He bears no resemblance to her perception of God, nor does he have a halo so she must not be dead. Regardless, after taking her entire family and leaving her, she and God are not exactly on speaking terms.
Rancher Heath Lassiter has prayed fervently and long for a wife. Is she the one? The appearance of a rare white dove shortly afterward seems to be a sign.
Despite Heath’s unwavering faith and kindness, Rachel refuses to marry him. Dark secrets haunt, secrets that blacken her name, making marriage to anyone impossible. Though disappointed, Heath rebuilds her burned-out house. There, her world again shifts with the discovery of a newborn near her family’s graves and a white dove perching nearby.
Love grows as Heath becomes a constant in her life. Yet Rachel lives in fear of losing this baby. When the infant becomes very ill, she desperately promises God she’ll return to her forsaken faith if He’ll heal the child. But first light brings uncertainty. Will the dove return as a symbol of divine mercy, or will Rachel’s fragile faith be shattered once more?
BLURB:
Secrets, lies, and danger hide deep in the Piney Woods of East Texas during the Depression of 1930.
For years, Sicily Rossi has tapped into nature’s remedies to try and ease pain and sickness in her small Texas town. With the Depression raging, most of the residents struggle to survive with no money and little food. When the town bully is found dead, rumors run wild and suspicion falls to Sicily who has been helping his tormented wife escape his clutches.
Though threatened and treated like a criminal, the law is slow to put Sicily away on gossip alone. As the stakes climb higher each day, she knows she will need some help if not a miracle.
It is not until the townspeople push back against tyrannical power and take hold of their own fate they see the faint glimpse of a better future. Their tenuous hope is on the line but will they grab hold of a better tomorrow and help Sicily, or will they give up and allow despair to wash over them once again?

Joy and dreams are fleeting at best, but will a Christmas miracle happen in time?
Someone is trying to convince Gillian Everly her beloved Christmas store is haunted. Sudden, mysterious occurrences keep her unsettled, still she doesn’t buy into ghosts and spirits. An intruder has to be getting in yet she keeps her doors locked. With a big Christmas Eve performance planned, she doesn’t have time for strange shenanigans.
Brett Love, a new customer, is taken by the beautiful shop owner and tries to help. He loans her a dog to keep her safe against whatever is happening in the shop. It seems the perfect solution.
A sweet, clean and wholesome romance with an uplifting message.
The unthinkable happens when Gillian confronts the intruder, and she’s left with a maimed hand. Will she ever be able to perform again? Watching another dream die will shatter her fragile hope.
AND JUST BECAUSE IT’S ALMOST CHRISTMAS…
BLURB:
Christmas? It’s nothing to celebrate and brings memories of everything he seeks to forget.
When a horrendous accident leaves Jericho Cane disfigured, he retreats to the dark refuge of his childhood home. People label him a monster, a phantom. Only while the town sleeps can he find courage to venture out and seek solace in midnight rides.
But who is making mysterious repairs to broken items, leaving food on doorsteps and wooden angels on children’s graves?
Newly arrived, Irish doctor Kathleen O’Shea, has no fear of Jericho Cane. Armed with determination, she offers hope where he can live again. Still, can he thrive walking in daylight amongst the ones who call him a monster? If she fails, the darkness will consume him for good.
A holiday read that will touch your heart and remind you that Christmas is a time of acceptance, kindness, and for healing wounds.
I loved this story so much and it is a great demonstration of acceptance and healing.

I’m so glad that your sister is doing well and still writing. Over forty books is fantastic. Thanks for sharing her latest, Jan. Wildwood Healer, in particular, seemed right up my alley. Thanks so much for the peek into Linda’s books, and congrats to Linda on having such a wonderful sister most of all. 🙂
You are too kind, Diana. I think I am the lucky one. I loved Wildwood Healer. It was very different from anything Linda has written. Glad it piqued your interest. Thank you for visiting!!
I guess you’re both lucky. 🙂 And that’s pretty wonderful.
Linda’s energy and inspiration are just a breath of fresh air. So excited for her and all these wonderful stories she’s sharing with the world. Love that lady.

I love you spotlighted your sister, Jan! I have read two of these, Hope’s Angel and Wildwood Healer. Both great reads 🙂 I pre-ordered Love Comes and have Loves First Light waiting for me, which is a gorgeous cover! I have some good reading ahead! Xo
Thank you, Denise! You are so supportive of others. I hope you enjoy the two you haven’t read yet. 🙂 Hugs and thanks for stopping by!
My, my, my, you are sneaky, little sister! No, I didn’t know you were doing this or I would’ve objected. I hate to be in the spotlight. But, now that you have, I’m truly grateful. Thank you so much. Two more days and you’ll be here!! I don’t know if I’ll wring your neck or hug you. I love you so much.
Lol! I just had the urge to promote your most recent work plus one. 🙂 You can either wring my neck or hug it, either way I’ll be happy to see you. Love you!
I’m sorry to hear about the health problems, but happy they aren’t slowing her down. She is a talent.
Yes, she is, Jacqui! I’m so proud of all her accomplishments, especially when it looked like her writing career was over.
It sounds like your sister’s health has bounced back, thank God. I love her book descriptions. Hope’s Angel hooked me, and like you said, it’s almost Christmas, so I went and snagged a copy!
Yay!! I know you will enjoy that story, Priscilla. Such a scarred character, both inside and out. Thank you for stopping by!
I see many books already on my list to read, Jan. What a beautiful tribute to your sister. And I love this line in the blurb from Love’s First Light: “Faith is the little bird that sings when the night is still dark.” 🙂
Thank you, Mary, for stopping by. I am thrilled to hear that several of these are already on your TBR list. I love that line too. Often in life, we have to dig deep to find that faith. Hugs!
It looks like your sister has written some wonderful books! You are a great sister to put the word out. I hope you have a super visit.
Thank you for stopping by, Darlene. Yes, I am looking forward to the visit.
