And not only do we get the pleasure of finding out more about this new book, we have Lisa, the Robot Girl, as our guest today! If you’ve followed this author for any length of time, you know Lisa is the ultimate sexy virtual assistant! The floor is all yours, Lisa!

I’m sooo happy to show up for a bit of promo. Craig has kept me pretty close to the writing cabin this year. He didn’t even tour his last book, and it was a good one. We’re only doing a couple of outside visits this year, and it’s nice to be around people again. Gotta tell you, the cabin has been full of dogs, chimpanzees, aliens, and more. Craig’s stories can be a little bit crazy.

He always tries to have a book for the Halloween season, and those are usually something from The Hat Series. Why should this year be any different? Right? People seem to love Lizzie and the hat, so here we go again.

I’ve got to tell you, when those gremlins showed up, I thought I was going to lose my mind. Robot girls are pieces of technology, too, and those things are destructive as hell. Don’t tell Craig, but I may have used a couple of cans of Raid while he was at work.

We should get to today’s point, though. There’s a new book called “Goodbye Old Paint.” Lizzie is still dealing with the aftermath of a giant flood which happened in “The Midnight Rambler.” Don’t think you have to read that one first. All the books are solo titles in this series.

Craig isn’t very kind to his main characters. This is something I can attest to from experience. He expects them to struggle, fail, and come back stronger than ever. For some reason, he decided to ease up here, but just a little. Lizzie still has to find a way to avoid the Spadefoot Curse.

She does this with some help from the local coven, including one new witch who we’ve never met before. The blurb should tell you more, and since Craig wrote it, I should let everyone read it.

Blurb: Lizzie and the hat haven’t been as careful as they think. When the FBI comes knocking, they know all about their nighttime pursuits.

Who even knew we had a Geospatial Intelligence Agency? This obscure part of the intelligence community has a problem that requires a special skillset. Lizzie and the hat are tasked with ridding the intelligence server farm of a gremlin infestation. They’re ill prepared for this one, because .357 magnum revolvers are designed to deal with larger and hairier problems.

The Feds aren’t giving Lizzie much chance to weasel out of the assignment, and they reluctantly accept the job. Lizzie faces some unique trials and has to make new friends to get through the assignment, and avoid a debilitating curse at the same time.

It’s been a hard road for Lizzie during this series, and she’s due for a couple of small upgrades. These are solo titles in a larger series, and you should be able to read any individual one without feeling lost. The series is dark humor at its base, but this one tends a little more toward the humor.

If you’ve read any of the Lizzie and the Hat stories, you know Lizzie plays stand-up bass in a band called Lizzie and the Pythons. I want to put a bug in Lisa’s ear today about some of our great Texas music artists that Lizzie could easily collaborate with! Ally Venable is a young lady I met when she was barely sixteen, but she is an amazing blues artist. I think Lizzie and Ally could do a great duet together! Then, there is Jesse Dayton, who is also an eclectic Texas music artist. I am hoping Lisa will take this message back to Craig and that it will spark some fun ideas!

Take a look at this music video and tell me if Lizzie would fit in. 🙂

Or maybe this one with Jesse Dayton and Samantha Fish.

I’d love to hear from you today! Let’s give Craig a big boost for this new book!
