I am super excited to showcase C.S. Boyack’s newest release here today! If you are a fan of Lizzie and the hat stories, you’ll want to grab this one!

And not only do we get the pleasure of finding out more about this new book, we have Lisa, the Robot Girl, as our guest today! If you’ve followed this author for any length of time, you know Lisa is the ultimate sexy virtual assistant! The floor is all yours, Lisa!
I’m sooo happy to show up for a bit of promo. Craig has kept me pretty close to the writing cabin this year. He didn’t even tour his last book, and it was a good one. We’re only doing a couple of outside visits this year, and it’s nice to be around people again. Gotta tell you, the cabin has been full of dogs, chimpanzees, aliens, and more. Craig’s stories can be a little bit crazy.
He always tries to have a book for the Halloween season, and those are usually something from The Hat Series. Why should this year be any different? Right? People seem to love Lizzie and the hat, so here we go again.
I’ve got to tell you, when those gremlins showed up, I thought I was going to lose my mind. Robot girls are pieces of technology, too, and those things are destructive as hell. Don’t tell Craig, but I may have used a couple of cans of Raid while he was at work.
We should get to today’s point, though. There’s a new book called “Goodbye Old Paint.” Lizzie is still dealing with the aftermath of a giant flood which happened in “The Midnight Rambler.” Don’t think you have to read that one first. All the books are solo titles in this series.
Craig isn’t very kind to his main characters. This is something I can attest to from experience. He expects them to struggle, fail, and come back stronger than ever. For some reason, he decided to ease up here, but just a little. Lizzie still has to find a way to avoid the Spadefoot Curse.
She does this with some help from the local coven, including one new witch who we’ve never met before. The blurb should tell you more, and since Craig wrote it, I should let everyone read it.
Blurb: Lizzie and the hat haven’t been as careful as they think. When the FBI comes knocking, they know all about their nighttime pursuits.
Who even knew we had a Geospatial Intelligence Agency? This obscure part of the intelligence community has a problem that requires a special skillset. Lizzie and the hat are tasked with ridding the intelligence server farm of a gremlin infestation. They’re ill prepared for this one, because .357 magnum revolvers are designed to deal with larger and hairier problems.
The Feds aren’t giving Lizzie much chance to weasel out of the assignment, and they reluctantly accept the job. Lizzie faces some unique trials and has to make new friends to get through the assignment, and avoid a debilitating curse at the same time.
It’s been a hard road for Lizzie during this series, and she’s due for a couple of small upgrades. These are solo titles in a larger series, and you should be able to read any individual one without feeling lost. The series is dark humor at its base, but this one tends a little more toward the humor.

If you’ve read any of the Lizzie and the Hat stories, you know Lizzie plays stand-up bass in a band called Lizzie and the Pythons. I want to put a bug in Lisa’s ear today about some of our great Texas music artists that Lizzie could easily collaborate with! Ally Venable is a young lady I met when she was barely sixteen, but she is an amazing blues artist. I think Lizzie and Ally could do a great duet together! Then, there is Jesse Dayton, who is also an eclectic Texas music artist. I am hoping Lisa will take this message back to Craig and that it will spark some fun ideas!
Take a look at this music video and tell me if Lizzie would fit in. 🙂
Or maybe this one with Jesse Dayton and Samantha Fish.
I’d love to hear from you today! Let’s give Craig a big boost for this new book!

Hello, thank you for the article! I liked how energetic you wrote it! It cheered me up, thank you for writing such posts – we all need to have fun and get a good mood from other people. I love black humor, and in general, such books as in the article. As for me, sometimes you need to read something like this, except for smart books on philosophy or self-development hahaha. Sometimes it is useful to relax the brain and you know just to have fun. It is always good to have a balance in every area of our life tho. Thanks for the recommendation, have a nice day!
That is so true, Tony. Reading different genres is stimulating. I can’t imagine being stuck reading only one kind of book. Craig’s book is so entertaining, and I loved the humor. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! Take time to look around while you’re here. If you like what you see, hit the subscribe button!
Congrats to Craig and the newest in his successful series. 🙂

I love it when Lisa tours! With the cabin that crowded, I’m sure she enjoys getting out. Love this series!
I agree, Teri. That cabin gets a little chaotic at times. 🙂 Thanks for visiting!

The place has been crazy lately.

Thank you for joining in the celebration, Gwen!
Fun review, Jan. Yeah, Lizzie would fit right in at that music festival!
Thanks for stopping by, Vera! Glad you enjoyed Lisa’s visit!
I kind of have a festival ahead for them. Okay, it’s more like American Idol, but a big event.
Looks like you two had a great time. I’d love to get Lizzie and the hat into Texas somehow. Louisiana is another one I’d like to include. They are geographically out of their orbit, but bands travel and it isn’t a hard sell. I keep watching for these artists to make it out my direction, but the closest we got this year was Samantha Fish stopping in Salt Lake City. Thank for letting Lisa stop by, Jan.
Lisa is always a fun guest, Craig. 🙂 And I could see the hat sending them on a musical adventure that would take them to Texas or into a Louisiana swamp. I hope you get a chance to see Ally live sometime. She is amazing. But she’s growing up and no longer sixteen. 🙂 I’m more than happy to host this book today and wish you tons of sales!
Hmm, there is a song called, Texas/Louisiana.
Congratulations to Craig! Thanks for hosting, Jan.
Thank you, Jill!
Thank you, Jill.
Looking forward to this one, Jan… Craig’s stories are always a joy to read!
I couldn’t agree more, Jaye. I am about halfway through this one and as usual, Lizzie and the hat are off on a big adventure!
Hope it gives you a laugh or two. Thank you.
I wish Craig all the best with his latest.
Thanks a million, Darlene!
Thank you, Darlene. I’ll take all the well-wishes I can get.
Great post and wonderful to see Lisa here today 🙂 i hope it gets lots of readers, it’s a fantastic story. Thanks for hosting, Jan!
Thank you for stopping by, Denise, to help support Craig’s latest. And thanks for the added recommendation!
Thanks for saying that here.
