MONDAY MEANDERINGS #10 2026

Hello, Friends. This will be a short meandering as I am away from home. Can you guess where I am?

It’s Spring Break here and I am at a water park resort with my youngest daughter and three of the grandchildren. They are having so much fun. The weather yesterday was in the 90s but today is going to be chilly, so they did all the outdoor activities yesterday. But no worries because there is a ton of indoor activities to keep them busy. This is the three of them.

I was SO thrilled when Fringes, Heartstrings and Lyrics earned a #1 New Release banner on Amazon. It was only for a day, but still exciting! The pre-orders are coming and I am getting so excited about releasing this collection of short stories and poetry. If you’ve already pre-ordered, THANK YOU! If you haven’t, please consider giving it a try.

I haven’t given an update on my step-son in a while and I am sorry to have to say he is still in critical condition and remains in ICU. We keep praying for a miracle. There are multiple problems. They have had to place him on a ventilator and they keep him sedated. He developed pneumonia in the midst of all this and that finally seems to be clearing up. Palmer was Rick’s next to youngest son. He’s a good man with a big heart, loves family and is always the kind of person you can rely on. As I said, we keep praying for a miracle. I’d be grateful if you’d join us.

My oldest daughter and middle grandson are in Ireland. The high school band is marching in the St. Patrick’s Day parade and I am so proud of all these young men and women. They work hard. They are going to livestream the parade, so I am hopeful I can catch it! My daughter sent this picture from one of my favorite places, The Cliffs of Moher.

I’ll leave you with this bit of inspiration and food for thought.

Since I am away from home, I can’t pull a card for the week. I will be leaving Friday to work a music festival in Abilene, Texas. This week is going to fly by! Take care, be good humans and I’ll see you soon!

    1. Your are certainly right about my stepson being on my mind constantly, Pete. It’s ironic how joy and sadness can mesh together, isn’t it? They certainly never had water parks when I was growing up either, Pete. The kids get to enjoy them now, though.

  8. I am sorry your stepson and his family are facing such a challanging time and I am sure he is in the best possible hands. The weather here is a bit iffy but hopefully a dry day for all the parades tomorrow… we have one in our local town and it was very busy this morning in the shops as it is a bank holiday tomorrow and everyone is getting their shopping in. Safe travels and enjoy the music festival and your readings… ♥♥
