I almost didn’t put up a post today. I was feeling so tired and discouraged and wondered how I could possibly be a light to anyone else when I couldn’t lift myself. But then I saw this quote from Booker T. Washington and knew I had to put up a post. So, here we go. I hope we are all inspired to keep suiting up and showing up.

This meditation truly helped.
The cards deliver a strong message.
The Queen of Swords represents the feminine energy of protection, fairness, and balance when making decisions and speaking the truth. She is intellectual and makes decisions based on facts and not emotions. When this card shows up, you are being asked to face situations with a logical approach rather than from an emotional state. Use your intuition to guide you toward who or what this card represents in your own life.
The Empress from the major arcana also embodies the essence of divine feminine energy. Through her connection to nature and her willingness to let her body be a sacred vessel, she creates a life filled with love. She emanates a powerful energy of receiving rather than taking action. You can allow what is being birthed in your life to take its time without rushing or forcing it. Passion and creativity produce a powerful magnetism that can attract everything you desire.
The Ace of Cups represents a love gift that can arrive in many forms, including self-love, a new relationship, or a new connection that will bring love, peace, and happiness into your life. Be open to receiving this gift. The hand of the divine emerges from a cloud, offering a golden chalice from which five streams of water flow into a blooming lily pond. The streams of water indicate that the cup’s influence can manifest in many different ways, bringing emotional fulfillment.
MY TAKEAWAY:
Both the Queen of Swords and The Empress embody feminine energy but from a balanced and logical viewpoint. Blending intuition, passion, and creativity with logic can bring about many incredible changes, resulting in deep emotional fulfillment.
For me personally, this comes as a powerful message to step out of my emotions and rely on intuition and logic.
The dragon card that popped out goes along with The Empress in embracing nature.

What a wonderful quote. Sounds like it was meant for you yesterday, Jan. Hope you’re having a better day!
I am a firm believer in this attitude because I’ve experienced it. Helping others shouldn’t come with an expectation of a payback; it’s an opportunity to make someone’s day better, which automatically makes us feel better about ourselves. Hope you feel more like yourself soon, Jan.
Did it work? Did it lift you up? I hope so.
An excellent quote, Jan. I’m glad yu took it to heart and decided to put up the post. Hopefully your week will be much better as a result.
Thank you, John!
?
I’m so sorry you were in a down spot, Jan. I love the quote from Booker T. Washington, and hope that you a lightening of heart from your many friends. Sending you much positive energy for the week ahead!
Thank you so much, Mae. Life is filled with ups and downs, and that’s just the way it goes, but I am happy I went ahead with the post. I appreciate you visiting and for sending the positive thoughts. Hugs!
A lot of powerful cards there, Jan, and I hope you tap into the wonderful feminine creative energy and leave the doldrums behind. Todays my anniversary (30 years), so I’m letting the message flow. It’s a good day. Hugs, my friend.
Awww, Happy Anniversary, Diana! Thank you so much for visiting. I wish you a wonderful week ahead!
🙂 😀 <3
Love the meaning behind these cards, Jan. I’ve been melancholy and emotional all weekend. I’m the same age of my mother when she passed, and yesterday was the anniversary. Hard to believe she’s been gone 37 years. The holidays tend to dredge up emotions in everyone, I think. Perfect quote! {{{hugs}}}
You are so right, Sue. The holidays can tend to dredge up emotions for everyone. It’s the time we miss our loved ones more intensely, and tears can linger near the surface. I send you hugs back and hope you find a reason to smile today. I’m looking for one or two! 🙂 Hugs!
The quote came at just the right time… I hope you are doing better meanwhile, Jan.
It is about balance, think logically but don’t force too much from a mind’s place. Things need time to develop, and the result mirrors the vision in its perfection. Wonderful reading and again, I can relate so well!
Thank you for your comment, Erika. I am fine. I will be fine. It’s a choice, and I choose to be fine. 🙂 Moving away from emotions and into intuition and logic does not come easy for me as I tend to live my life from my heart center. But for the moment, I am embracing that place of peace inside of myself. I hope you have a great week ahead.
I hear you! Sometimes our emotions have us in their tight grip and it is then when we are forced again to take another step upwards on the ladder of our journey. Sending you much strenght, dear Jan ?
That quote was perfect, Jan and a great reminder to look outside ourselves sometimes. Great reading and logic and intuition is where I need to be. And that dragon reminded me of my dragon on the trail and that longing for nature. I may bundle up and go outside later. Xo
You are so blessed to live in a place where you can often commune with nature, Denise. Enjoy the gift! Logic and intuition are definitely where I need to be right now instead of being embroiled in emotions. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! Hugs!
Very blessed to have had all years we’ve had here for sure. I hear you with not being embroiled in emotions. Xo
Jan, I hate to see so down. I’m sorry you’re having the blues and wish I could help. You definitely need a break of something positive so maybe go listen to the bells? Is MarVeena having her Christmas event? Go to that. The path you’ve chosen is not an easy one. I do think today’s reading has a message. You can’t give up. No matter how hard it is, you have to keep going. That’s something you already know. I love you dearly, Sister.
I’ll never give up, sister. I may give out, but not up. 🙂 I will be fine. Life can’t always be a bed of roses with joy and laughter, although we wish it could. There is some lesson I am working through, and it will all be okay. I love you and hope you have a good week ahead.
Perhaps the message is for us to help “lift” you up, Jan? Spreading light and love around you, my friend. Lately, I’m smiling more, even to strangers in passing. My heart may ache at certain events in my own life, but I’m finding that the simple act of a smile can lift my own spirit, along with someone else.
That is so very true, Mary. A simple smile can shift the energy for both you and the other person. I embrace the light and love you are sending. I will be just fine. I hope you have a great week ahead! Hugs!
Hi Jan, an interesting reading this week. I can’t see how it relates to me yet, but who knows as the days unfold.
Lol, Robbie. So true. We never know what’s lurking around the next turn in life. Hope your week is fabulous!
You too
That’s a great quote, Jan, and I think it’s true. I hope you have a very nice week ahead.
Thank you, Dan. I hope the same for you!
That’s such a great quote by Book T Washington. Whenever we are feeling down or sorry for ourselves, the best thing we can do is help someone else. Thanks, Jan!
So true, Jill. I’m glad I followed the nudge and wrote the post. Have a wonderful day and week ahead!
I love the Booker T Washington quote. Today I let an older couple go ahead of me in the horribly long line at the post office. It made me feel better about the rest of the day.
What a kind thing to do, Darlene. Those small acts can make a difference not only in our day, but the other person’s as well. Thank you for sharing.
Seems like a positive week ahead.
I am 100% for that, Craig! Thanks for visiting.
