Happy Monday! I’m thrilled to be able to say we are finally out of the triple-digit temperatures here with a possible chance of rain. Whoo hoo! The trees are so thirsty. They will be doing a happy dance if they get some moisture. I love today’s quote. It’s a great reminder.

This meditation inspired me to be my best self! She says during the meditation that you are the only person on the planet with your life configuration. You are unique!
The card for this week is not a particularly happy card, but it applies to many life situations.

In numerology, the number 5 indicates change, but can also represent freedom. In this card, we see the end of a battle or conflict. Those defeated are walking away, and the victor is claiming the swords for himself. Conflict is unpleasant for everyone, but you can concede with dignity. Disagreements are a part of any relationship regardless of the level. How you manage yourself in those situations will determine your growth. Ask yourself if it’s really important to have the last word. Look for the lessons in these situations and always know when it’s best to simply walk away rather than engage. Listen to intuitive nudges guiding you away from toxic people or situations.
While this card doesn’t set a particularly positive tone for the week, it is a great reminder to become the observer, and when you feel yourself being drawn into a conflict, always remember YOU are in control of YOU, no one or nothing else.
The dragon card today offers an element of power and control.

Hope you got bucket loads of rain, Jan! I adore the quote – and the pic with it. I’m a beach girl. Have a great week!
Thanks, Teri! I loved the quote. It’s a great reminder.
I could have used this advice in the early days of my marriage, lol. Learning to hold your tongue and let the little things go takes time. Thanks, Jan {{hugs}}
Oh my goodness, Jacquie, is that not so true? Me too!! Thank you for visiting. And thanks for the hugs, which I send back to you!
Conceding with dignity is a super message. There are too many instances in sports and other contests where one just has to concede that the other (team, side, or player) was better that day.
So true, Pete. It is character-building when players are able to concede with dignity. Thank you for visiting!
A powerful message for me, Jan. Thank YOU! I’m so happy your heatwave of triple digits is gone. Whew! Have a lovely week. xo
That’s wonderful to hear, Mary. I love it when a message hits home with someone. And, YES!! So glad to be out of the oppressive heat wave. Thank you for stopping by! Hugs!
Small pleasures, oh yes. We had rain last night, and what a joy that was! I wish the same for you. ?
Oh, definitely, Gwen. Rain is a true pleasure these days, and we are still waiting for it. Thank you for stopping by! Hugs, my friend.
So glad you are getting a break from the heat, Jan. We finally closed our pool this past weekend as the temps are taking a dip to the cooler side. I will miss summer but I love fall.
Great quote, and wisdom to remember!
Fall is my favorite time of year for sure, Mae. Love the cooler breezes, especially after such a brutal summer. I’m glad you enjoyed the quote. Thank you for stopping by!
Great advice, Jan. Loved the cool morning today.
Yes! The cool morning was most welcomed, John. I bet Twiggy enjoyed it as well. Thanks for visiting!
Hmm conflict – it can take different forms, can’t it?
Oh, most definitely, Robbie. And in writing our stories, conflict is essential to keep the readers engaged and our characters growing. Thank you for stopping by!
Thanks, Jan ??
The five of swords goes well with the dragon card, Jan. It’s a time of change, which always brings lessons. I hope you get some rain! That would be wonderful, and I’m glad the heat has finally broken. <3
So true, Diana. And change is inevitable. Thanks for the good weather wishes and I am super happy to get a break from the oppressive heat! I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment. Hugs!
<3
Sister, I think each day holds challenges, some more than others. Change will happen whether we seek it or not. I’m definitely being challenged trying to get my self-pubbed books in Audible. It’s very hard but so far, I’ve discovered it won’t cost me much. Enjoy the rain. We have it too for the next five days! Yippee! Love you.
Yay! So glad for the weather break! And anything new can be challenging, but persistence is sometimes the key. I think that’s where our Smith stubbornness comes in handy sometimes. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by! Love you!
Glad your weather might have broken. You all deserve a break!
I totally agree, Jacqui! It’s so pleasant today! Thanks for visiting!
I love the quote at the top of the post, Jan. So true and essential. The 5 card is so relevant for me right now, and I’m keeping my head down and refusing to engage where it only brings negativity. There’s simply no point. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely week. ??
You are wise, Harmony. Keeping your head down and refusing to engage diffuses any potential conflict. I always tell my granddaughters it takes two to fight. Thank you so much for sharing! Hugs!
This is such a profound message you are sharing about this tarot card. Everyone can relate in some was. I am so glad that these days I cannot think of someone I am having a conflict with. When I think back on all the conflicts I could leave behind this is even more liberating.
It is a good place to be, Erika, when you cannot think of any ongoing conflict. I am in the same situation and love it. I think the main message from this card is that we have control over how we react to potential conflicts. Thank you for stopping by and I love the word, “liberating!”
I agree, and I love that message. Whatever direction a situation takes depends on our action or reaction. It is such an important reminder!
I love the dragon card. It is true about the need to just walk away sometimes. Not everything is meant to battle.
True words, Denise. Everything is not meant to be a battle and learning to walk away is part of our growth. I always think of the Kenny Rogers song, The Gambler. Gotta know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em, know when to walk away, and know when to run…” Thanks for stopping by!
Fantastic quote, Jan! I’m happy to hear you’re getting a taste of fall. I think the card is a good reminder that sometimes it’s best control our tongue. Have a great week!
That is so true, Jill. And we are the only ones who can control our reactions to situations that arise. Glad you enjoyed the quote. Thank you for stopping by and here’s to a great week ahead!
Fingers crossed for that rain. I’m already relishing the cooler temperatures. It’s 63 right now at my house. Love the quote!
Amen to the wish for rain! I’m definitely enjoying the cooler temperatures, too, Joan. Thanks for stopping by and glad you enjoyed the quote.
It’s like the janitor card. Cleaning up someone else’s mess.
Pretty much, Craig. Thanks for visiting!
