Monday #Motivation #Meditation #TarotReading #OracleCards #LionsGate

Welcome to the start of a powerful new week. We are in the middle of the Lions Gate Portal activation and that is the focus for today’s post. What is the Lions Gate?

The Lion’s Gate portal is the opening of a rare window between the spiritual and physical worlds. While it takes place annually from July 28-August 12, the Lion’s Gate portal is considered officially activated on August 8, which this year is also accompanied by a New Moon. So in the aspect of this amazing window, here we go!

The meditation I chose for today is short, but powerful and takes you on a guided journey through the Lions Gate Portal.

The Tarot Reading for this week is raw and honest.

The Emperor comes from the Major Arcana and is considered the father of the Tarot deck. The Emperor suggests that you are adopting this fatherly role (regardless of whether you are male or female), providing for your family, and protecting and defending your loved ones. You may be the breadwinner or the ‘rock’ for those who rely on your stability and security. It can also reflect a system bound by rules and regulations or a powerful leader. Perhaps you are most comfortable in a leadership role, sharing the wisdom you’ve gained through life.

The Ten of Wands notes that you are taking on an extra burden, a heavier workload, or greater responsibility. Even though it is weighing you down and making things tougher for you, you understand it is only temporary, so you are willing to put in the hard work now to accomplish your goal and reap the rewards later. Sometimes we unconsciously take on extra burdens in life and may find ourselves exhausted or burnt out. The good news is that the number 10 represents the completion of a cycle and this will pass.

The Eight of Swords is a warning card. Don’t allow yourself to fall into the victim mentality where you feel trapped and hopeless. It can also be a warning that your thoughts and beliefs are no longer serving you. However, this card offers hope. The water pooled at the woman’s feet represents intuition. She has the ability to remove the loose bindings and blindfold. It’s a choice.

So, the takeaway from all of this for me is that we are in a period of time where we may find ourselves needing to rely on a system with rules and regulations to bear the burden of extra hard work and not allow ourselves to fall into a victim mentality.

And what a beautiful Dragon Oracle Card!!

    1. Very true, Miriam, and yet we resist it. This virus is going to bring us all to our knees. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment!

  2. The Ten of Wands resonates with me right now, although I’m working to find the right balance. Thanks for the share, Jan!

    1. I definitely resonated with that card too, Mae. We all have more on our plates than we can juggle. And I do have to stay aware not to fall into the victim mentality. I’m happy you enjoyed the reading and thank you for topping by!

  3. Wow! What a reading again. From the first to the last card. I am expecting myself to be a rock, stable and steadfast, but right now a lot is coming together that takes me to my limits. When there is something adding to it I can react very sensitive and emotional. So, that last card really encouraged me to step out of that unconscious victim role.

    1. Oh yay!! I”m so glad the reading made sense to you and you could find a gem of wisdom in it. Thank you SO much for stopping by and leaving a comment, Erika.

  4. My daughter and grandson are moving back home, and while it will put an added burden on the family, I’m so grateful to have them back. I’ll look on The Guardian card as a sign of positivity- thanks, Jan.

    1. Absolutely, Jacquie. Family is most important and glad you can be there for your daughter and grandson. Always look for the positive side for sure. Thank you for stopping by today! Hugs!

          1. She had a Grand Mal seizure at work, was taken to hospital by ambulance, and after several tests they found she has Cerebral Cavernous Angioma- abnormally formed blood vessels in the brain. She is on anti-seizure drugs and can’t drive for at least 6 months. With our grandson being Type 1, it’s just too much for her to handle.

  5. Hard work is nothing to new to you or me, Jan. All our family has known is hard work. At least for today I don’t feel trapped or hopeless. I’m looking forward with great anticipation to the 19th when I come for your birthday! Love you, sister.

    1. You are so right about the hard work, sister. We are no stranger to it for sure. It’s ingrained in our DNA. I’m glad you don’t feel trapped or hopeless. That’s not a good feeling. I’m looking forward to your visit for sure!! Love you too, and thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment!

I strongly felt the emperor today as I took care of family. And I needed the reminder it was only temporary, and to follow my own path. Great meditation too, once I got past my inner guide behind me not in me….lol. nice stepping through that portal!

    1. Thank you for joining in today, Denise. I think we can often easily step into the fatherly role of Emperor and that can lead to more work for sure. Glad you enjoyed the meditation. It was different, but as you say, nice stepping through the portal. Have a great day!

  7. Thank you for the insightful reading, Jan. It prompted me to ask…who/what is the emperor in my life, what are the burdens I carry, and how am I to walk free? Your opening words of wisdom are the answer. Beautiful. 💗

    1. I’m so glad you gained some insight from today’s post, Gwen. We often have to ask ourselves hard questions and sometimes the answers are harder than the questions. Thank you for your comment. Sending hugs your way!

  9. A lovely reading today, Jan. And relevant for me whilst struggling to get back on my feet (or foot!) and feeling so lethargic. Thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. Thank you for your comment, Harmony. Life is filled with struggles and somehow in the midst of them, we are learning lessons and growing. I pray that things smooth out for you soon!
