Monday Motivation – #TarotReading #AngelOracleCard

Happy Monday! This is my last Monday post until after all the holidays. The kids will be out of school starting next week and my days will be full. I feel as if I owe you an apology for letting myself get a little despondent lately and express that here on my blog. That really is not who I am and thank goodness, seldom fall into that trap. It’s so strange that even though I have tons of tools at my fingertips and know what to do to shift my vibration, sometimes I choose to remain stuck. But alas, I am only gloriously human. However, the cloud has now lifted and I am back to feeling my normal positive self again with the knowing that it’s always a choice.

This quote hit the nail on the head.

Instead of a meditation, I’m sharing a short powerful video that explains so much about energy and our vibrations and what we can do to shift them.

The Tarot offers a positive message that can carry us through the hectic days ahead.

The Two of Pentacles represents a balancing act. He stands on one foot as he attempts to balance two energies while behind him, two ships navigate turbulent waters, representing the struggle to find stability amidst chaos. Balancing your schedule and personal obligations can be tricky, especially around the holidays. This card encourages you to only take on what you can handle and prioritize, or reach out for help when you feel overwhelmed.

Pain, both mental and physical, can be a huge deterrent to making choices in life. The Two of Swords indicates indecision or self-protection. Fear of making the wrong decision can quite literally paralyze you, keeping you stuck in a holding pattern. The blindfold on the woman is self-imposed and represents her going inward and relying on her intuition. Reaching out and asking for advice and support might help ease your mind, but ultimately, listening to your intuition and taking action on your own will provide the relief you seek.

The Ace of Wands has been showing up regularly for us, and here it is again. It is truly the gift of creation presented by the Divine. Inspiration and creativity are the keywords. Be open to flashes of inspiration that guide you to a new beginning or adventure. This could involve a new relationship, a new business, or even a travel adventure. Keep your eyes and ears open!

The Ten of Pentacles indicates a most prosperous outcome to your endeavors and specifically represents stability within your family. Wealth, in some form, could be heading your way. This enables you to create from a new place of abundance alongside those you love. Focus on spending time with those you love and create a network of prosperity that will give generously to those in need. Enjoy the present while planning for a prosperous future.

MY TAKEAWAY:

With the hectic holidays upon us, the Two of Pentacles makes perfect sense. It gets difficult to balance all the extra chores and social events that occur around this time. I think the main thing to remember is to ask for help when it gets too overwhelming. While decisions can be harder to reach during this chaotic time, the Two of Swords reminds us to trust our intuition and with the Ace of Wands, keep an eye out for new exciting inspirations, then enjoy the beauty of spending time with family during the holidays and trust that prosperity is on the way. Your hard work pays off.

This reading hit me very personally, as I have been struggling to make a decision regarding my writing career and next book. The answer is pretty clear at this point.

The Angel card gives us a beautiful message and joins hands with the Ace of Wands.

  1. Good post. I stalled at the first quote–the journey being the same whether we look for joy or sorrow. There was a point in my life when my goal was to be happy–long time ago. You left a tantalizing hook on this post–“make a decision regarding my writing career and next book. The answer is pretty clear at this point.” And that would be?????

    1. Lol, Jacqui. I laughed at your burning question. I will make an announcement soon and it’s all good! I think our goal is always to be happy, but life doesn’t work that way. It goes in cycles and stages. I’m not sure we ever set out to look for sorrow, but sometimes sorrows come and it’s all part of life. Thank you for visiting. Hugs!

  2. Beautiful share and inspiring positivity. I listen to a good number of mindfulness and consciousness podcasts and I deeply appreciate this post. The tarot cards are something I have no idea about except seeing them in horror movies ?

    1. Oh my, Jude! I hate that your only introduction to tarot cards is in horror movies. They are an amazing tool that can help bring about clarity when we need a different perspective. Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I am honored.

  3. I don’t think you owe anyone an apology. We all get in a funk from time to time. Better to own it than act like everything is rosy all the time.

    1. I have to always come from a point of pure honesty, Pete, and you are right. Life isn’t even meant to be rosy all the time. Without struggles, we don’t grow. Thank you for your wonderful comment! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

  4. Oh, how I adore your Monday Motivations, Jan! Be kind to yourself. The waning crescent Moon could be to blame for how you’re feeling of late. It affected me, too. But the New Moon on Wednesday should wipe the slate clean! <3

    1. Good point, Sue. And regardless of what we may think, the moon cycles do affect us greatly! I’m doing good. The cloud has lifted and I’m grateful. I’m so glad you enjoy the Monday posts. I enjoy sharing them. Will be setting some New Moon intentions!

  5. Oh, Jan, we all have those seasons when life gets overwhelming. Never worry about sharing those thoughts with your blogging friends. I hope you feel the love and support around you.

Over the last year I’ve also had to make some tough decisions about my writing future. I guess that time comes for all of us. I’ve made peace with my plans and hope you find the same in the days ahead.

I’m sending you cheerful wishes for a festive and beautiful time with your family this holiday season! ❤️

    1. I feel so very blessed to have an online community that supports and encourages, Mae. We are here for each other and life can’t be all roses. It’s nice to feel the love of my virtual friends. Tough decisions often take time and contemplation, but eventually, the answer becomes clear. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season! Hugs!

  6. Never any need to apologize for being human, Jan 🙂 we all visit that darkness here and there. It sure makes the positive light do much more beautiful. So true about how hectic this time of year fets. I woke up with that familiar panic of Christmas in two weeks. Mainly, I want to get out and look at lights, and watch movies but it’s those other little things that require attention 🙂 My grandkids aren’t off until Christmas week. Then it gets busy! Happy Holidays, xo

    1. What? Christmas is in two weeks? 🙂 Just kidding. I knew that. I still have some gifts to buy and yes, I want to go look at lights and watch movies, too. I know you will enjoy the kiddos being out of school. I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season!

  7. I burst out laughing when I saw The Two of Pentacles, Jan! In truth, the entire reading spoke to my current situations. Thank you for sharing. This has been an uplifting and illuminating post. I’m happy you’re taking some time off during this magical time of year. I hope to hit the “pause” button on my life soon. May light and love surround you, dear lady. Happy Holidays! xo

    1. Thank you for your beautiful comment, Mary. Yes, the Two of Pentacles certainly applies to most of us this time of year, but what a glorious time it is! I’m so happy to have your friendship! If nothing else comes out of my time with Wild Rose Press, getting to know you has been a tremendous bonus! I send your wish for light and love surrounding you right back tenfold! Have a wonderful holiday season!

  8. Beautiful quote by Eudora Welty, Jan, and it’s so true! And, thank you for sharing your tarot readings. As always, they are uplifting. Have a wonderful week. ?

  9. Again, this reading speaks to me. I am pondering new ways of supporting and expanding my business. Since my employed job will end next May, I would have more time to get behind it, but I also lose my monthly financial foundation, which makes it difficult since my self-employment has not paid off yet. Anyway, the message of the reading tells me that I just need to trust in the journey and move in the direction I feel in my heart and all will be perfectly well.

    1. I totally understand your hesitation about losing your monthly financial foundation and taking off on your own. But you are right to trust that you are well-supported and all will unfold as it is meant to. Faith is the bird that sings in the dark of night before the dawn breaks. We are often called on to have that kind of faith. I wish you all the best! Hugs!

      1. “Faith is the bird that sings in the dark of night before the dawn breaks.” What a fantastic phrase. Is it from you? If yes, would you allow me to quote you?

  10. Hi Jan, a lovely post. I’m glad you are feeling more positive and upbeat. Writing is a tough game, not for the faint of heart. The reading is interesting as always. I’ll see how the week pans out.

    1. Thank you for stopping by, Robbie. Yes, it’s good to get past the doldrums and lighten up. I think we can all take life way too seriously. 🙂 I hope your week ahead is filled with only positive progress for your boys and their healing. I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season!

  11. We all get down every now and then. How wonderful that we have a blogging community that understands. (often better than our friends and family!) Thanks for that perfect quote. Enjoy family time!

    1. Isn’t that amazing, Darlene? While most of us will never meet in person, we care about and support each other and I love that so much. How lucky I am to have found this supportive online group of friends! I wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season!

    1. You are right, Dan. The fact that our online community is so supportive is just amazing. While most of us will never meet in person, we form an invisible bond that stretches around the world. Thank you so much for stopping by!

  12. Wonderful quote, Jan. I’m also struggling with some of those same decisions. Hopefully a holiday slow down will give us each a little clarity. Enjoy your time with the family! xo

    1. Sometimes we have to slow down just to hear our inner voice, Jill. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I appreciate your support and wish you a wonderful holiday season with your family! Hugs!
