Hello, friends. That’s right. There is no Friday Focus this week. I got home from work Tuesday evening, knowing I was getting sick and it got worse from there. I wound up sleeping for twenty-four hours and woke up feeling like I’d been run over by a train. So, needless to say, I’ve missed everything this week. I’m still not fully recovered,.
BUT…
I have to jump on here today to tell you about a Countdown Deal. Of course, at the time I scheduled the deal, I had no idea I’d be sick. Such is life.

Colt Layne’s peaceful life—running his ranch and playing music with his band—shatters when a stranger appears with impossible demands…and ends up dead. Now Colt is charged with murder, framed by someone he can’t identify.
His only hope? A conversation with his deceased grandfather. Impossible—until he meets Sage Coventry, a psychic medium who can speak to the dead. Skeptical but desperate, Colt turns to her for answers and finds unexpected sparks along the way.
With time running out to save his name and his ranch, Colt and Sage uncover shocking truths about the past, their growing love, and the future that hangs in the balance.
So, if you have a hankering for a suspenseful romance set on a ranch with horses and a psychic medium, you can get the book today for 99 cents!
I loved writing this story. It challenged me in ways that no other story has. I’ve never spent any time around horses, so I had a lot to learn about running a ranch and about horses in general. I learned that horses are empathic and that is one reason they are often used in equine therapy for trauma victims. I had the opportunity to spend a day on The Gold Horse Ranch where I could observe what a working ranch looked like. My respect for horses and the ranchers grew by leaps and bounds. So, armed with what I learned I created Colt Layne’s ranch. It’s a place I’d love to visit, especially if there is music involved.
I hope you’ll take advantage of the Countdown Deal and gift yourself a Valentine’s Day romance!
