#TarotTuesday – Ace of Swords

Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!

If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.

I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If you’re interested, here’s a LINK.

Today’s card is the ACE OF SWORDS.

Keywords for the Ace of Swords are: Breakthroughs, new ideas, mental clarity, and success.

The Ace of Swords marks a wave of new energy from the intellectual realms. You may be on the verge of a significant breakthrough or a new way of thinking that allows you to view the world with clear eyes. Or, you may have a sudden realization or conscious understanding about an issue that has been troubling you, and can finally see the path ahead of you. Meditate regularly to clear away the mental chatter and make the most of this intellectual potential.

See this card as a sign of encouragement. It says your mind is in ‘expansion mode’. You are open to embracing new ideas, craving stimulation, and you’ll jump at the next opportunity to learn something new. You thrive on new ideas, inspiration, original thinking and vision, and you are excited to pursue new opportunities that draw upon your creative and intellectual abilities.

The Ace of Swords indicates that now is an excellent time to start a new project – one that requires your intellect, communication skills and mental power. You may feel inspired to take a writing class, practice your public speaking skills, or get involved in activities that require more brainpower than usual.

As always, an Ace indicates the beginning of a journey, but you can sense the energy building up and can’t wait to get started. If you channel this energy into the right moves, then you will succeed in your endeavors. Just remember that the road ahead may be bumpy and you can expect challenges along the way. Maintain a success mindset, and you will navigate these hurdles with ease.

The Ace of Swords also encourages you to pursue the truth of the matter and to find justice. You may champion a cause or stand up for your rights or the rights of others. Or, you may have a new idea for which you are prepared to fight, or you may feel fired up about an issue you are passionate about, such as human rights. You have great clarity on the situation and can now argue your point of view with truth and conviction. In other words, you are ready for battle.

What a beautiful card! The energy is so inspiring. For me, it comes at a time when I am finishing a book. So, it’s time to start a new project. 🙂 Isn’t that always the case with authors? But I also love that this card encourages us to pursue truth and find justice. Maybe it’s time to stand up for our rights, or the rights of others. I’m excited to hear your thoughts!

As always, thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!

  2. I’m just getting around to reading this now because this week has been so crazy. I connect with the part of this card that focused on embracing new ideas and feeling successful. This week has been all about failure, but the failure wasn’t mine. It was made by those in charge, and it affected my job. As stressful as that was, I chose to focus on finding a way to make things work, and I did. So, as crazy as it’s been, I’m ending the week feeling as if I succeeded. 🙂

    1. That is wonderful. Yvette. You are not alone in the education debacle across the nation. My hat is off to you and other teachers like you who go above and beyond for their students! It’s not easy. I’m glad you were able to end the week feeling as if you succeeded. Thank you for stopping by! Hugs!

  3. I like the positive energy of this card, Jan. I just visited my five months old granddaughter for the first time. It was a new beginning to me. I also started some new projects with the soon three years old granddaughter.
As for my writing, the two projects are not new but they’re in the first quarter of progress, so I could call them new.
Thank you for showing the card, Jan

  4. I’m there Jan. I love your Tuesday readings. Yep, It’s time to stand up for our rights, or the rights of others. I’m excited to hear your thoughts! It’s time to Unite and use our talents for the greater good. 🙂

    1. Yes, yes, and yes, Rob! I feel the energy in your words. The more people come together to stand against injustice, the more energy is gathered! Thanks for stopping by!

      1. I was energized by your call to action, Jan. I live in San Francisco, so it’s hard to get a sense of how people in other states feel. This is about America. Last week I heard a former republican say he doesn’t have to like Biden’s policies to cast his vote for Joe Biden, it’s a vote for democracy. I am so happy to see so many principled conservatives. DemCast is looking for people to write the personal experience of living in a democracy, the benefits, liabilities, what we can do better. I’m working on a notice of a call for writers. 1. Thank you for stopping by, Marje. I have taken each card from the deck and posted them and I’m getting near the end of the deck. Hmmm, wonder what I’ll do then. 🙂

  5. Jan, this card is such a great reflection pf my world right now. I’m working on two new novels in genres I’ve never explored before and having a ball hosting the writing prompt challenge on my blog. I’m excited by life again and it’s a wonderful feeling.😊

    1. I love that you are working on two new novels and in different genres, Soooz! That in itself is exciting. I have loved watching your Flash Fiction event grow amazingly! I wish for more time to participate, but I will jump in when I can. Being excited by life is truly a wonderful feeling! I am so happy for you! Thank you for stopping by! Hugs!

  6. Yes, both of us are starting new books and I feel energized so it’s full steam ahead. I hope I can uncover a very unique plot that hasn’t been overdone or find an interesting twist on an old one. The people here in the U.S. are in a state of chaos and change. I pray that we can settle this race issue once and for all to the good of mankind. My heart is with those seeking justice and truth. Love you, sister! 🙂

    1. I am willing to bet that Crockett Legend will tell you his story. 🙂 It is always exciting to start a new project. You are so right about the chaos. I too pray that the issue of racism can be settled once and for all! Thank you so much for stopping by, sister! Love you!

  7. I’m also finishing a book, Jan, and the thought of a new writing project feels exhausting. Lol. I’m going to interpret the new project as one of reading everything on my kindle! Great energy with this pick, my friend. I enjoy these posts and the opportunity to reflect. 🙂

    1. Oh my goodness, Diana! If I made it a project to read everything on my Kindle, I’d be off the grid for a very long time. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by. I’m thrilled that you enjoy the posts! Have a great rest of your week!

  8. OMG, when I read your definition of the card, I thought: Hey, I AM the card! LOL! I am like a firework of ideas and inspiration… lol

    1. What a wonderful place to be Erika! It’s so invigorating to be full of ideas and inspiration! And we have to take advantage of the energy while it is there! Thanks for stopping by.

      1. It is a blessing and curse, to be honest! So many ideas but so little time to go for each one… lol! Always a pleasure to visit, Jan!

  9. D.L. Finn, Author

What an interesting card, Jan. I have to finish my old projects before I can move on.
I’m hopeful that sanity, love, and justice prevail in our world. We are sorely lacking in those voices. Hopefully that new beginning is right around the corner as the card suggests:)

    1. You are so right, Denise. We are sorely lacking in those voices. We can hope for a new beginning in which love and justice prevail! Thank you so much for stopping by!

  10. As I see the violence in the cities and the authorities stand and do nothing I’m hopeful this card inspires those to find truth and seek justice. Thanks, Jan

    1. Yes, John! It’s sad that the authorities are paralyzed – afraid to move. We can certainly hope for the chaos to come to an end and truth and justice prevails at last!

  13. These Tarot Tuesday’s are so fun. I didn’t know anything about Tarot cards before you started these blogs! A new journey well I started a new journey in June as a way to earn a little extra money and to have some social interaction. So I’m wondering if your reading is telling me I should kick the journey up a notch and do everything I can to advance with this as a career. Today did start the new season for Pampered Chef with its Fall/Winter catalog. Hmmm we shall see where this goes… loved your blog Jan!

    1. Only you know the answer to that question, Stephanie. Watch for signs that tell you which way to go. They will be there! I’m so glad you are enjoying the posts, learning about Tarot cards. They are such a wonderful tool. I’m almost to the bottom of the deck. Only a few more weeks. I’m waiting for the Angels to give me a nudge about what to do next. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

  14. Thank you, Jan, for another great reading. I’m learning a lot about Tarot through you. My oh my, we live during a time of great change, don’t we? Like most I suspect, I often feel like I’m standing on a mountain top, wishing I could fly — over the hills and valleys and gosh, craziness. But then there’s the list of projects waiting for attention. You’ve given me another nudge, my friend. Thank you. ♥

    1. You are most welcome, Gwen. I’m so happy you are enjoying these posts. As I said above, I’m getting near the bottom of the Tarot deck and wondering what the Angels will nudge me to do next. 🙂 Yes! If only we could fly over the craziness! I’m glad this card gave you a nudge! The world needs more stories from you. Hugs, my friend!

  15. I’ve been toying around with starting a new project. I have two on my plate for consideration right now, but I’ve also just refocused on my WIP after a dry spell, so maybe that is my new project.
I can feel your excitement about the energy of the card, Jan. What a great, uplifting one to share today!

    1. I don’t know what two new projects you have on your plate for consideration, but if one of them is expanding the story from Soooz’s Flash Fiction prompt this week, I say GO FOR IT! That story gripped me in a big way! I want to know more about Julian and Rexmont! Thank you so much for stopping in on Tarot Tuesday and I’m so happy to share good energy with everyone! Hugs!

    1. Lol, Craig! Yes, you do. 🙂 I SO relate. I was trying to finish this second book in the White Rune Series, while dealing with rounds of edits from book one. But, now, I’m ready to plunge into book three! Just take notes and get ready for a marathon of writing! Have a wonderful day!

  16. Lovely card today, Jan. I see each new day as a new journey. Sometimes a challenge, sometimes an adventure, and sometimes just plain sailing, lols. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. I’ve always seen a new day as the beginning of a new journey or new chapter, Harmony. And you are so right. Sometimes it is a challenging chapter and sometimes adventurous. Other times, it’s just smooth sailing. Thank you so much for stopping by! I always love to see your comments. Enjoy today’s journey!

  17. Good morning Jan- I love your tarot readings. I love that this card says “new journey”, Im not sure what mine will be, but isn’t life always a journey and God’s plan for us a mystery. So I’ll just wait to see what journey lies ahead.
Love you and have a blessed week.

    1. Good morning, Tonya! You are so right when you say God’s plan for us is a mystery. If we were allowed to see into the future, we’d find some way to alter it because of our ability to make choices. So, we take one day at a time, living for today and planning for tomorrows. Love you, sweet lady! Have a blessed day!
