#TarotTuesday – Seven of Pentacles

Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!

If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.

I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If you’re interested, here’s a LINK.

Today, I pulled the Seven of Pentacles.

The keywords for the Seven of Pentacles are: Long-term view, sustainable results, perseverance, and investment.

You may remember that the suit of Pentacles aligns with earthly possessions and finances.

The Seven of Pentacles shows you understand the value of putting in time and energy now for longer-term rewards and have a strong desire to invest in sustainable results. You are not looking for quick wins. You also want to make sure you are putting your attention on the right areas instead of wasting time and effort on tasks that will not deliver any value.

See this card as an invitation to step back from the day-to-day operations and look at the bigger picture. Celebrate what you have created and assess your progress so far.

If you are planning for the future, the Seven of Pentacles encourages you to take a long-term view and assess where you can best invest your time and energy for the maximum output. You do not want to keep putting your heart and soul into something if you won’t reap the rewards for your work – and you have undoubtedly seen that some areas in your life are just energy-sappers.

If you have been working hard or putting the extra effort into something challenging and important for the last few months, the endeavour or project is near its culmination. Rest assured, your hard work will pay off. You are likely to see financial or other tangible rewards for all of your hard work.

Sometimes, however, the Seven of Pentacles can indicate frustration with slow results. You have been laboring away at something important, and you may feel concerned that your efforts will go unrewarded. Be patient and appreciate the progress you have made so far. If your work has not yet paid off as planned, remember that your expectations may be unreasonable. There are no guarantees. Be grateful, focus on the present and do what you can with what you have.

This card hits really close to home for me this week, especially the last paragraph about frustration with slow results. It is a reminder to be patient and to appreciate the seeds I’ve sown. How about you? Does this card speak to any aspect of your life?

Thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!

As always, I use the Rider-Waite Radiance deck and BiddyTarot.com for interpretations.

  2. I am a long term planner and a delayed gratification kind of girl, so I am content with this card. I make small progress toward big goals, but progress is progress, and I take any forward movement that I get. 😊

    1. I think so too, John. We live in an age where everything is geared toward instant gratification. But the best things are worth cultivating and waiting for! Thanks for stopping by!

  3. This card definitely speaks to me. My maternal grandma told me once that perserverence was the key to success, and I’ve come to believe that’s true. I’ve read and researched the lives of several successful people, and they were all single-minded. They kept doing their thing in spite of obstacles, how hard it was or how long it took to reach their goal. I remind myself to have grit whenever things look hopeless. This is my card. 😉 Thank you, Jan! <3

    1. Your grandma was a wise soul, Vashti! There are always going to be obstacles. That’s what makes up life, but if we stay steadfast, we reach our goals. That’s a great reminder you give to yourself! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs!

  4. It is unbelievable how timely the card you picked is for me again! I am about to actively build up my therapy practice (working out a completely new website), working on and creating skincare products, and have started a new education fitting this all. A wonderful confirmation because that is what I have in my mind and heart: the bigger picture on the long run!

    1. Congratulations, Erika! I’d say this card hit the nail on the head for you. Sow your seeds and enjoy each aspect of the journey! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. Best wishes on all your ventures! Hugs!

I’m with you, Jan. The results are very slow in coming. I guess keep moving forward and enjoying the now and journey. Also, that reminds me of a Christmas tree, so maybe its not the time for opening all the gifts yet.

    1. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful analogy, Denise! I love that visual. Yes. All we can do is sow the seeds and enjoy the journey. Thank you for leaving a comment today!

  7. Jan, a highly detailed and informative article on this card! Blimey, I can relate to so much within your explanation … and patience is something I need to practice! I know it is important to look at the long-term goal but at times it is so far ahead!

    1. I completely agree, Annika. Patience is a virtue, or so they say, and it’s one I am lacking. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your comment!

      1. One of my first boyfriends kept telling me that about patience being a virtue and I would get so upset … I think he had point but took a while to realise it! 😀 I’m still learning though … very slowly!

  8. I tend to be impatient when it comes to things I really want to happen. Most times I just have to buckle down and hang in there for the long haul, setting frustration aside. It’s not easy though, LOL!

    1. I am exactly the same way, Mae, so I totally relate. I pitched this last week AGAIN during Savvy Authors’ Pitchfest. And I queried another Agent outside the pitchfest. So, being patient and waiting for the results is not my strong suit! 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. Hugs!

      1. At least you are being proactive, Jan. I need to start looking for an agent, but I need a finished MS first, and I’ve been dragging my feet on that. Wishing you all the best and much success, my friend!

    1. I totally agree, Brigid. And, we cannot be too attached to the outcome, but trust the process of sowing the seeds. Thank you for your comment!

  9. Good morning Han. Wow this one hit close for me too. I’m in the process of training a new employee. My partner who is susppsed to help me train hadn’t lifted a finger in the 7 weeks the new employee has been with us. But that’s okay, this new employee is bright, ambitious, and learning quickly. So if and when my partner claims she’s helping, I’ll know the truth as does my bosses. I’ll take the high road and let the chips fall where they will.
    Love you.

    1. Hi, Tonya! That is a great attitude to have about a hard and unfair situation! I’m glad you enjoyed the card today and I hope you and Rob are doing good! Love you!

  10. A most interesting card, Jan. It is funny how I can make all the cards work for me. I think I am open to interpretation and most tarot cards can address some aspect of a person’s life.

    1. It is most interesting, Robbie. And I agree. I think they can all apply to some aspect of our lives. Thank you for leaving a comment!
