Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!
If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.

Today’s card is the Ten of Pentacles.
Keywords are: Wealth, financial security, family, long-term success, and contribution.
The Ten of Pentacles is a positive sign that you have reached a point of completion and accomplishment in your journey. As a Pentacles card, this sense of accomplishment is likely to be the result of a successful career path, smart financial investments, a stable home environment and a possible committed and long-term relationship. You have accumulated abundance through your hard work and dedication and can now relish sharing this with others. This is one of those cards that promise everything will eventually come together and you will be proud of everything you achieved.
When the Ten of Pentacles appears in a Tarot reading, you are surrounded by wealth and blessed with financial abundance. There is no ‘wanting’ for any more; you have everything you need, especially within the material realm. You are financially secure and trust that, because of your personal successes and accomplishments, you will always have what you need and desire. You express sincere gratitude for fulfilling your material goals and dreams.
This card reflects permanence and creating a lasting foundation for future success. It is a card of commitment to a sustainable future, taking into consideration not just the short-term gains of a particular venture but also the long-term benefits. A consistent approach will achieve success that will last the test of time.
The Ten of Pentacles indicates that you feel compelled to share your success with others to make sure they are well cared for, too. And it brings you deep joy and satisfaction.
The Ten of Pentacles is also a sign that family is very important to you. Being surrounded by the people you love and who share your DNA and ancestry brings you great joy and happiness. You know you can trust your family whole-heartedly and they will be there for you, no matter what. Your home life is happy, and you can provide your family with the security they need. You are also strongly connected to your family history and heritage, a part of the long lineage that goes before you. It represents tradition, being a part of something bigger and realizing that the blood of your ancestors flows through your veins.
I see the Ten of Pentacles as such a positive affirmation card. I love the concept of reaching a point of completion. And while I do not have physical financial wealth, I have everything I need and I do love sharing with others. I think this will be open to each individual to apply to their lives.

An interesting pick, Jan. The family aspects of this card seem to relate well as this is the time of year when families celebrate in togetherness. Maybe the call is to be strong for each other and stay apart this once – that our families will survive it and lay the foundation for future togetherness. Financial security? Ha ha. I’m a writer.
You may be right, Diana. It is so hard to resist the urge to gather at this special time of year. Thankfully, I see my kiddos on a daily basis, so nothing changes for me. But for so many, it will be a very different Christmas. I like your perspective of laying a foundation for future togetherness. Yes, (deep sigh) I know. Reading your explanation brought tears to my eyes. I think I can relate to each and every aspect you mentioned. Just these days, in this pre-Christmas time, I thought of these times when my children were small and how happy I am that I had that time and that they are still surrounding us in their developed way. Also, I just finished one big project, my website, and I am feeling secure in my financial situation. There is so much peace and contentment set in lately, and this card describes it perfectly. Absolutely! I must say that my life is not too much affected by these times. Yes, there are restrictions. But I am not looking at what limits me but at how I can make us of what I am given.

This is my card, Jan! Yes, it was hard work of 30+ years before retirement but all the sacrifices paid off. I’m so content with my situation and environment and relationship. I only think of giving at this point of my life. <3

Wow! I can relate to this card in many ways. For years, I have felt financially insecure – ever since my divorce left me a single mom with a ton of debt, but this year has finally put me where I feel financially strong, and the burden of debt is gone. (I still owe the big ticket items – mortgage, car – but I have breathing room.) I am also not a materialist person. In fact, my son and I completed our yearly purge, where we go through our belongings and choose what to donate to the Vietnam Veterans of America. I also completed a task that I’ve been putting off for years – placing certain items for sale online – and that has not only brought me more money, but it has also put a check mark on a task that has felt like a burden for a long time. AND as if this card didn’t speak enough to me (LOL), my sister and I had a discussion earlier this week about genealogy and wanting to learn more about our parents’ histories to preserve them. 🙂

It’s ironic in a way that this year (2020) bringing so many more struggles to folks everywhere, I’ve managed to get myself out of debt and as you say, have a little breathing room. Am I rich?
